I haven't ever enjoyed doing laundry this much. It cost 50c for soap and 50c for fabric softener. Both are dispensed into little reuseable cups. All € is put into a centrally located vend and then you type in the washer or dryer number in and then walk over to the machine and turn it on. There are a few chairs provided and there's a ledge you can sit on. There are not specific folding tables, all the area on top of the bank of washers can be used for folding. It's very efficient. I love this neighborhood. I could have popped over next door for a beer, but why not just stay and enjoy the best waschsalon ever? There's time enough for beer after fluffing and folding.

She was honest and that was appreciated as I was from out of town. I left her some Euros in return. Best place for laundry.

Very pleasant person with good English explained where I should load my laundry and offered to have it delivered to our hotel for 5 euros. I think each load was 10 euros. So much cheaper than having the hotel do it, even if you include the 12 Euro cab ride there. Laundry was done nicely, delivery was on time, we may even go there again before we leave Hamburg. Also, located just off a pleasant square (Hansaplatz) with several cafes, adjacent to a fun diverse neighborhood with lots of produce and doner shops.

They spoke English and the our laundry came back to us clean, folded very nicely and free of any wrinkles.
