Granted, if you put this shop in most big cities around the world, it would be "just another vintage store." However, Prague is not like most big cities when it comes to vintage shopping. Options here are few and far between, and Fifty-Fifty clearly leads the pack in quality and overall curation of the pieces available. Ya, it's small, and ya, you might not find something every time, but Fifty-Fifty is unrivaled in my book as the best vintage shop in this city. A lot of the coats were good- heavy even and going from 200 crowns. Mostly all their clothes were a brand of some sort, I got a dress, and two nice sweaters for 300 crowns. Now that is a deal. I would probably not come in here normally, but with the sale time I would say it was a great deal and worth stopping in for. They also had nice sneakers and boots half off, which I would have bought had I not been leaving Prague with no room in my suitcase. Overall! Staff was friendly and helpful, place was well organized (by color too!) but without a sale I would just wait....

I ended up staying in Prague during the coronavirus state of emergency. All went well, but when it…read moreended, I only had heavy winter clothes with me. Prague Thrift is small, but things are tucked in everywhere. I ended up getting a like new Zella athletic top, women's in-line skates, helmet and wrist guards. The employee went out of his way to help me examine the condition of skates ( they were excellent) and even suggested places to use them. There was the feeling that expats donated their things here when they left Prague. Some nice small kitchen appliances, English language guidebooks, novels, and kids books. Random sports equipment like a rugby ball, rackets, and even a folding exercise bike. There was a nice room dedicated to children's things. Men's and women's clothing was organized well. There were lots of shoes, purses, bags, some luggage too. It got a little busy on Saturday in the hour before closing time. There is a high demand fitting room there as well. Overall, I am very happy to have made my way over using the #16 tram. I could see why so many customers felt like regulars.

The…read moresmell of second hand clothes is pretty strong here, but if you can stand it there are some good finds to be had. They have also a fitting room in the room to the left, and a good selection of men's clothing too. I also noticed a large selection of bathing suits and nighties at this place, unsure as to why, but hey I like these things but especially if they are brand new or like new for a cheap price. I noticed the price chart on the wall seems to work a lot like secondhand street market where they price things by item, and then weigh it for a final price. Like I said in my Secondhand street review, if you know how to shop like this, there is always a deal to be had. Lightweight clothing of any kind is the best deal in these places, think tank tops, leggings, light t shirts, layering long sleeve shirts, light summer dresses, bathing suits/camis without stones/buttons/belts, ect. I didn't actually buy anything here, but saw many things that I would be interested in buying if I had more time to look and try on. I will be back here as soon as I have some free time!
