I did not have a good experience with this company. Our tour was cancelled back in November 2024 due to their driver catching COVID and they were unable to find a replacement driver. They offered a refund or to reschedule. I requested a refund. It is now June 2025 and I have yet to receive refund for the 3 tickets I purchased. Richard has promised to send refund several times and now my requests are unanswered. It's always an excuse why refund did not go through. My friends and I were really looking forward to the tour for our girls outing before the holidays. It should not take 7 months to process a refund. Beware booking with this company. Do not purchase!!!! I bought tickets for a large group in January fr $445. They charged me again in April. I contacted them and Richard replied several times that they would refund me. Did a wine tour with my sorority sisters. The tour started with a pick up from a brunch spot in Austin and a ride out to a few wineries in Fredericksburg. Our driver was super friendly and funny! I'm pretty sure everyone on that tour was celebrating something. I can't remember everywhere we went, but I can recall seeing the "ass" and taking pics with him. Just a fun event all around. Venue was air conditioned which is a must for Texas summer! Wine vendors were very knowledgeable and welcoming. first and for most, I have always had a great time with Texas Winos. I've done the tastings in Arlington a couple of times so I thought I would venture out and do the wine tour. It is something unique to our area and looks fun. It was fun. The tour was super fun. The guide was fun and he took care of us. The wineries were decent, don't expect too much from the food (noodles with red sauce and some bread). If you have allergies the Texas Winos will tell you to let the place you are eating know (so allergic people, take your own). No worries, we make due. Reason for 3 stars. A friend left a leather jacket on the bus. I know, keep up with your own crap right, I do understand, however when we inquired Texas Winos said they were unable to help and they use a different company and to contact them. I say, and my friends agree, you are only as good as the people working for you and the companies you partner with. Myself and the jacket owner contacted the bus company. He said he had the jacket and could bring it back IF he was sent gas money ahead of time and IF he met her at her house. She offered to meet him at the place we got on/off the bus and said she would have money for him but he refused. I don't know about other ladies out there, but I'm not giving my address to a stranger (he was learing as we got on and off the bus, we were in a group and safe). Towards the end of the text chain he became quite rude and insistent about being paid upfront with the amount increasing and meeting at her house. The jacket that was left is important to my friend I hate for her to loose it. The bottles of wine left by my SIL, she should have kept up with those as she didn't they are part of the tip. Overall, a fun time. Not so fun that I feel comfortable doing it a second time. What if a phone was left or glasses or one of the many things that as people we drop or forget. read more

We did the piney woods tour in Dallas, TX and had a fantastic time! We had 15+ wine tastings throughout the day at 3 great north Texas wineries near Athens TX. Our bus driver was fun, and the playlist was perfect for a great time. Bring a friend, your spouse, parent, or whoever and you are guaranteed to have a great time. I really wanted to like them. Booked three times. First two bookings cancelled by them. One for not enough sign ups and second for mechanical issues. (Cancelled morning of event I might add). Third times a charm? Unfortunately no. First pick up spot in Irving, bus is an hour late. And too small to accommodate our group. We wait for a second bus to arrive. Nope, it's going to meet us at second pick up spot in Ft Worth. Everyone crowds on our bus. My husband gives up his seat and ends up sitting on the floor in the front. Get to Ft Worth, no second bus. Missed our first winery, leave the Ft Worth group and head to the second winery. Lunch is served in to go containers. Food was good, but not the experience we expected. Tasted a few wines. Second bus shows up so we get to spread out on way to third winery. The trip was unorganized and hectic. A-lot of sit around and wait. And only two wineries instead of three. Our guide was ok but you could feel her frustration in her "it is what it is" attitude and her comment of "Things happen, you can't make everyone happy." We were scheduled to go on a tour in the Dallas Texas area on Sunday February 16th. they emailed us and also sent out a text message on Saturday, February 15 stating that we needed to check our emails ASAP due to a medical emergency with the driver. Also, stating that they did not have another driver due to it was already at another event. The reviews on yelp are a hit or miss but the way they did this was not right they are actually wanting to give us free passes for the wine event again but Im not from that area. I traveled 2 1/2 hours to get there for an event for a birthday and this is how it turned out. Also, they said that they would give us a refund, but nothing has been processed back to my active bank account. I do not suggest anyone to deal with this company. A SCAM! I purchased 3 tickets in February of 2025 for an event in Houston, TX for my birthday on 3/21. The day of the event I received an email stating it was canceled. Then states in email that I can reschedule for another event. I was traveling from Dallas to celebrate my birthday. So, I requested for a refund. Did not hear anything from the company until after I wrote a review on their Facebook page. They sent an email to me stating that they will refund me my $335. 30, on 3/21. Here it is over a week later and still no refund nor response. After reading several several it states that they do not refund. My friend and I went to our second Texas Winos event today. This one was the Wino Wine Festival. It was a small event with seven Texas Wineries. I liked the event and the opportunity to try different Texas wines. 85% of the wines were sweet wines, which is hard for me to drink now. Maybe that's what they brought because it is the end of May and it's getting hot. Maybe it is just what each winery decided to bring. Or maybe 85% of the wine made in Texas is sweet. This one I give 3 stars. Now the first event we went to was 4.5 stars. It was a winery bus tour that left out of Dallas and went to some wineries and tasting rooms north of Dallas. It was a really fun bus tour, made more fun by the collective attendees. It was great to get to try those wines and find a chocolate red wine that is the chocolate red wine to beat all chocolate red wines (from BarnHill Winery). The last place we went was downtown McKinney to a winery where we could hang at that winery or just explore downtown McKinney. Then we headed back to Dallas. Really fun day and worth it. I am not giving 5 stars just because there was a snag that day that delayed the start by an hour and involved wine glasses we weren't able to have. But even still, I would definitely do it again. I am a travel nurse working in the area. My contract is ending in 2 weeks and my coworkers wanted to plan a last girls night out which included the wine event. Well due to them canceling I am not able to reschedule for there new date as I won't be in Texas. I have tried contacting them via phone, website, social media requesting a refund but they ignore me. For anyone wanting to but tickets for a future Wino event. Know that they can cancel at anytime, reschedule for another time that may or may not work for your availability, ignore your phone messages, emails, and contacts via website. I took a tour of Fort Worth breweries with nine of my friends as coordinated by Texas Winos and we had a phenomenal time. Our trip was months in the making... I was in communication with Richard, the head of the company, over the course of a few months with questions about dates, locations, and pricing and he was incredibly kind, quick with his responses, and nothing short of wonderful to work with. When two members of my group couldn't make it and had to drop out the week before, he even refunded the money and then double checked to ensure it had been processed to my card! Such a caring individual and I'm happy to support his business. As for our tour... We were picked up at Fuzzy's on Mockingbird by a pretty nice bus. They allowed food, water, and even drinks on the bus! Our tour guide Ryan was very fun and made sure we had a great time. Our first stop was a brewery that also sold barbecue and Ryan covered our food (up to a certain price) and first beer. I was really glad we stopped at Cowtown for beer and barbecue because they didn't count it as one of our three breweries, so we actually attended four breweries total! The food was delicious and they had ample food options for a reasonable price. No one left hungry. I do wish we had known we were eating barbecue first since we had all gotten food at our pickup location of Fuzzy's and we likely wouldn't have done that if we knew we were eating first. We then went to three more breweries in Fort Worth, all with a different vibe and flavor. Prior to the trip, I had requested we visit three specific breweries and we did make it to one of the three I asked for, but oddly enough that ended up being my least favorite. The company is well-versed on breweries in the area and made for a wonderful experience by including breweries I had never heard of. On top of that, they covered the price of our first beer at the first three (the one with barbecue and subsequent two breweries) and we were responsible for covering our beer at the last brewery. Since we did not have to pay much out of pocket for beer, food was covered, and the price included transportationand a guide, the tour was an unbeatable price. All in all we had a crazy good time and I can't wait to book more tours through this company. They also have wine tours and boat tours as well! I, along with three girlfriends took a Texas winos tour on Saturday, May 25 out of Dallas. The tour guide was ridiculously unprofessional, with an ego the size of our fair state of Texas... He kept referring to the tour as 'my vision' as he drove us 40 minutes further than what was in the tour description, used profane language regularly, handed the mic over to some random participant who blasted music that half of us didn't want to hear, and did not even take responsibility for whether or not everyone was on the bus. He would get on the bus and then turn to us and ask if we thought everyone was there. He credited himself with filling the bus and selling out the tour even though nobody knew they were signing on to a day with him when they signed up for the tour, so it is no credit to him specifically how many people booked. How did his big head ever fit through the bus door??? We got back over an hour late, which was problematic for one of us because of a prior commitment for the evening. At one stop he complained to me and my girlfriends that the wineries were cheap because they weren't giving him free bottles of wine to thank him for bringing them business. He pandered for tips verbally, and by handing out various ways to tip him written on ripped pieces of cardboard box but then as we were getting into our Uber, we saw him get into a $150k S class Mercedes. It is nobody's business what he drives and I am merely mentioning that because he was lamenting that he takes care of his 84-year-old mother all week long and then does these tours every weekend and boy do the tips help. They really do based on the car! I have tried repeatedly to reach out to the office to discuss our experience. Nobody returns messages from their office, and the one person I have reached via email will not call me... His name is Richard, but I don't have a last name and the tour guide's name is Mike... He is hard to miss as he is 6 foot seven with tattoos and a piercing through his chin Oh, and rest assured he will tell you everything he has done in his life. 'When I was a stuntman in Hollywood for two years ... (cue the Hollywood tatt on his forearm), 'when I was saving lives as a lifeguard at the ocean in Hawaii ...' blah blah blah. I have been on a Texas Winos tour in the past and really enjoyed it. Having said that, I will not be giving them any further business based on this experience and the fact that nobody from their office seems to give a crap. Went on this tour many years ago and the experience was great. For my 40th birthday I decided that me and my friends would do this tour. Signed up about 2 months ago, 3 hours before our tour was to start we received a cancellation email with the option to join another tour that was happening same day, same time, different location. I was a little disappointed due to us signing up for the tour with the Italian lunch option. We made it to the new location on time, the charter bus arrived on time but there was no tour guide. We were told that the tour guide was picking up the souvenir wine glasses for the tour. We didn't leave from the pick up location until close to noon. Made it to the second pick up location around 12:20. We were already behind on time. The tour guide advised us that he was not able to get into the storage unit to get our glasses. How were we supposed to experience our tasting without glasses? The driver stopped at a gas station to get paper cups. While that was very kind of him, it was very tacky. The first stop was a nice winery but the BBQ lunch was not good at all. The second location was nice and the third stop (Landon Winery) in downtown McKinney should be removed from this tour. We were told to leave out of the building and that we would be served outside in the 40+ degree weather. We waited 20-30 before we were served with 1 wine option each. While we made the best of this tour, it was still a disappointment to spend my 40th birthday on a tour that did not give what it should have. There were not grapes on the vines to see at the wineries and it was not put together that well. At our second stop one of the employees mentioned that Texas Winos had not paid them yet, how embarrassing for us to have to hear. Very disappointed in this Company!!! Prepaid for the Brewery Experience. Was told the day of the tour he had credit card issues and WE had to PAY as we go. We had several people in the group. The tour itself did not have an actual brewery tour, just stopped at bars for drinks. 2nd stop had a major event and overcrowded. We now have the hassle of disputing the charges as he hasn't reimbursed us. The owner only communicates through email. No phones. No txting. Not consistent with responses. read more

About the tour from 11/12/22: 1- Bus was one hour late to pick us up. 2- The tour guide apologized and said they were late because they were trying to get our wine glasses, but at the end they told us they didn't have the glasses. So basically we never got the suvenir glasses that were supposed to be included in the package. 3- Because the bus was so late we felt very rushed at the tastings. We had to eat the food while doing the tasting, instead of having the tasting then the food. Also, we didn't have time to sit and relax and explore and enjoy the wineries. As soon as we finished lunch we were told to get back in the bus. 4- Third stop wasn't a tasting, they just served us a glass of wine in their patio, at 40 degrees temperature, and told us to walk around downtown. Not a winery feeling or experience. We couldn't even go inside to take a look. So even though we love wine tours I don't think we will be going on another wine tour with Texas Winos again.
