Peace Square!
This is such a wonderful public plaza! I came…read morehere for the Christmas Market, which was a lot different from other Christmas Markets I've been to around Prague!
This was a place for the locals. There were a few tourists up in here, but for the main part, the locals were the ones hanging out. That meant for the Market, the prices were generally cheaper, and there was a different style of merchandise that isn't all magnets of pictures of the city and the usual stuff.
In the center of the plaza, they had a giant Christmas tree in the middle of the area, with lights festooned from the top to the perimeter of the plaza. Around the tree were various booths of vendors set up in wooden huts selling stuff.
The church at one end of the plaza was strikingly beautiful. They let me in to the front area of the church, but the main part was closed when I went.
This place is easy to get to, there's a metro station right across the way.
