I then dean into Caffe' Frassi. A cute and small mum-and-pop shop selling authentic Italian sandwiches freshly made for their own bread, own cured meats and own toppings. First off, I want to say the owner was super friendly. As old as he was, he was super charming and welcoming to his space. Offering everything to us to make us feel welcomed to his shop. The shop is very small. The minute you walk in you probably can see there is only 4 seats available on the side. It's more of a walk in and out spot but with the small option to sit if needed. There is a wall full of wines and a rack full of special liquors. There is a small display rack of cured meat where you'll see the owner shave pieces of it for your sandwich. The sandwiches were hot, decent portioned and made fresh. It was just the right amount of cheese, meats and accompaniment. He offered a shot of Limoncello with the meal however i chose not to take it because of my long ride down to Rome. But it was very nice of him to offer. Overall, i would give Cafee' Frassi a 4 out of 5 and wish I can go back.

The atmosphere and decoration is simple and cozy and I wouldn't have believed that the food was going to be so amazing if I wasn't with Italians. First we started off with a multi-course starter, each a perfect portion of unique seafood. There was some raw seafood, followed by a baked dish, some shrimp, and calamari. I've only had fried calamari before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But this was perfect in a very light sauce that didn't drown the flavor of the calamari and was very soft and not chewy. Then I had some lobster pasta which was AMAZING. Unfortunately, at this point I was too full and with the lack of sleep (from flying to Italy on a midnight flight) and just couldn't manage to eat the second course of more seafood. Too bad! But there was just a little space for dessert... I had walnut ice cream. It wasn't very creamy and almost crumbled when we took a spoon full!
