This Tesla charging station is in the parking lot of a bar called and lots of non-electric vehicles frequently park in these Tesla spots. I had to go into the bar and ask them to make an announcement for non-Teslas to move their vehicles so that I could continue my interstate road trip. The staff informed me that people have said they are doing it because they think it's funny. One of the bar patrons even made a comment in the parking lot mocking the announcement I requested for people to move their non-Tesla vehicles creating a very hostile environment for me and my family. As I mentioned before, this is the parking lot of a bar and many of these people are intoxicated! I recommend skipping this charging station altogether since the establishment owner refuses to enforce the "Tesla parking only" rule by having the non-Tesla vehicles towed. read more

Wish I could give this place a zero. Like others have said, this is not a practical location. My biggest complaint are the non-EV cars that park in Tesla charging spots. The owner of the diner where the chargers are located was contacted, but he stated that he's only required to have two EV spots open and that his staff/customers can park there. Straight garbage! Myself and one others guy parked about 4 spots down and though my car was at 8% it never went above 64kw. Even when he drove off and I was at 20%. There is a loves down the road why it's not there I am not sure. There is a restaurant, and I would find it of kind of rude to use their bathroom without eating. I would hate to stop here at night. As noted by others, this is a very inconvenient location. My big complaint was with the chargers. When I arrived (about 8:30 am) I was the only car there. After about 5 minutes of charging, another Tesla arrived and started charging. Immediately my charge rate dropped and the remaining time jumped from 10 minutes to 45 minutes. Not willing to spend that much time there, I checked and found another charger along I-85 I had enough charge to make, so I left read more

This is a pretty awful Tesla Supercharger. The reason is because it's right next to a dumpster that is outside of a restaurant on the side of the road. The stench from the dumpster is so bad that you can smell it inside your car, and there are random bits of garbage that have been yanked out of the dumpster by trash pandas, all scattered about in the woods behind the chargers. Oh yeah, when I went there was a small stream of garbage goop slowly making its way down from the dumpster toward the Superchargers. With that being said, my car charged super fast so I was able to get out of there pretty quickly. read more

The reason why I give this place 2 stars, The location sucks, I was just there at 4 am in the morning. It's behind a Restaurant with bushes that you can come from and walk right upon you. It's a van that sits there, unknown if it's anyone inside. The Restaurant posted a sign on the Tesla Charging stating, Bathrooms are only for customers. Really, after people traveled for hours and this is what you post. All Tesla station should be in an Open Environment or somewhere that is open 24 hours. I couldn't even sleep at this one and had to drive to the next one to fully charge and rest. As a Restaurant Owner, most likely, the people that uses the bathroom are probably going to buy something, even if it is coffee. Instead of sending them away, why not create a small type of store in your front lobby where people can buy a soft drinks, snacks, Coffee and other things. This way, your business still makes money, more people will patron and your location because a Want to come and eat and charge here. read more

Not always the fastest Supercharger, but a needed location. Best part is to run into South Hill beforehand and pickup breakfast or lunch from Love Cafe! Great, fresh, quality food to eat while charging! The bowls and chili are outstanding! read more

We were routed to this Supercharger on a road trip from Connecticut to North Carolina. We stopped to charge at about 2am with less than 10% remaining. There is no where to use the restroom and this was the slowest supercharger I have ever experienced. As other reviewers mentioned, the smell from the dumpster is perhaps the worst part. We were there on a very hot summer night (early morning) and the smell was overwhelming even with all of the windows closed. Consider avoiding this one if you are able! read more

Charger isn't very fast. Maybe 300mph if you are lucky. Nice spot though in the back parking lot of a restaurant, with pretty good food and nice staff. I would visit again even though it's not terribly fast. read more
