Tesla's cars have amazing technology and it's a shame that Tesla Rocklin has such a terrible service department. The service department is led by a very incompetent manager named Christopher Elder, who does not know how to run a team, let alone take responsibility for mistakes and incomplete jobs. We took our new car--yes you read that correct--brand new car, to get it serviced because of over 10 scratches and dents over the car. We even did them a favor by marking each one for them. The vehicle was returned to us the first time with multiple scratches left, even after they said the vehicle was fully inspected and "perfect". We had to bring it to them again, where they again promised it was fully checked and detailed. No surprise, the vehicle STILL has the same scratches that we had already pointed out during the first time. This is just embarrassing for a new car buying experience and the incompetence in their so-called "service" department is painful. read more

In and out didn't have to really deal with anybody. Just drop the key off. Tesla is a different kind of car company. They are faster and more efficient. They do work on a lot of vehicles there. I'm not sure what it for but they do have their hands full and seem to try their best to take care of business. read more

It's so hard to reach anyone once you make a purchase and they do not care about you or the car. I'm sure it's like this any Tesla you go to. Andrew was helping me before I made a purchase and it was very easy to talk to him at that time but once my car was delivered, he just ignores and never calls back. I wish I never took the order at that time and just let it cancel. I'm really not happy with the purchase with all the down graded features they did when I paid way more than it used to be. Horrible company. Bought a model X and model Y because I believed they were a "green" and friendly company. Turns out they wont let me take my OWN vehicle to a shop other than their "approved" shops. These people are scammers. They will force you into their own overpriced body shops because they restrict the purchase of replacement parts. I was referred to Tesla from many people at work. I originally worked with Arden and got ok service until I had questions in regards to the lies that were told to me. I reached out to the advisor I spoke to originally, and he stopped responding to my calls and text messages. I was then scheduled to pick up my car at 4 pm on a Saturday. I was told the ac was out and that I needed to come in earlier because they would be closing, so I was rescheduled for the same day at 12 pm. The day I was supposed to pick up the car, I was told by the manager, Andrew and the service technician that there was a recall on about 40 model y vehicles and that there would be a hole in the car if they didn't do an additional inspection. Then they stated they didn't have the materials that were needed to complete the required update of some one-time use rubber. Luckily, my mom was there and recorded the entire interaction because as soon as we walked in, we noticed there was already air conditioning, and the service we got from Tommy was not the best. After speaking to Andrew and the service tech they asked me which day the following week would work for me being that I already called off of work to pick up the car on that Saturday and had to then pay for a rental car because they stated they do not have courtesy vehicles. We agreed on Tuesday, and then Andrew stated he would be able to have me do a no contact pick up on Sunday or Monday if the car was available. I then got a missed call from Tesla, and when I called back less, then an hour later, Tommy stated he didn't know who called and would check around to see who called. Now it's 4 hours later, and I reached out to customer service, and Andrew and still nothing. This is by far the worst service I had with any dealership. I don't understand how they make you do all these steps on your phone, collect funds and then you can't get any information on when you can pick up a car that they stated was ready for pick up. Horrendous service. Refuse to cover a TSB issue saying that my model X vin is "not affected," contrary to what is stated in the SB. No further explanation. Had my Tesla Model S appointment for routine maintenance including tire rotation today. "Deeno" (spelling could be wrong) Tsimboukakis helped me and was extremely professional. He was great with communication and did a fantastic job being thorough regarding services needed, time expectancy and costs. This location itself could definitely use a few more upgrades including more outdoor seating for customers who are waiting as well as amenities to ensure that clients have drinks, snacks, etc. I was a bit disappointed that they don't wash your car after service, I feel that this added touch would improve the value and quality of customers experience. I had an awesome experience at Rocklin Telsa! I was out car shopping and decided to give Tesla a go. Walked in and was greeted with a very knowledgeable associate Tommy, he asked what I was looking for and directed me to a demo car to test drive. Took the demo for a ride and came back about 20-25min later ready to bargain. Tommy was at lunch but another associate helped me with some questions and sold me on the white interior!! I was shocked to find out that I order the Tesla online. That was smooth and easy! Payment was easy! E-sign was easy and pick up was a breeze!! I was shocked to find how easy everything was. I had questions, Tommy answered them as well as other associates. I think the negative reviews were during the transition of going service to sales only at this location. Everyone was super helpful, even the associate during my pick up was very helpful and had patience with me when my phone would not connect. I am not sure why other dealerships don't take the Tesla approach to selling cars. This was the easiest and the most enjoyable car buying experience I have had! read more

This dealership is awful, I waited here all day and they didn't even fix or look at my issue. I was inside for 8 hours with no update then before they closed they said oh we can't do anything about that. I watched my app all day and never even saw them look at my car. I wasted my entire day here. Stay away from service they are awful, tesla needs to clean house here and get rid of the bad service. We've been to the Tesla in Rocklin a few times now and finally ordered our Tesla. Tommy helped us out both times and was super helpful! However, the older manager guy that works there wasn't wearing a mask and we overheard him asking a customer if he can afford a Tesla. Each time we've been there we've seen him interact with customers and I've actually seen someone yell at him. Tesla, if you are requiring your customers to wear masks then so should your employees, ESPECIALLY the manager. And please inform your manager that on no level is it acceptable to speak poorly about your customers with your coworkers. Tommy is great though. Ask for him. read more

Bought our first Tesla here last October and love the car. The Model 3 is by far, one of the best cars on the road. Safety wise, design wise, and money wise. We test drove the car in October and ordered it online in the showroom. Very easy process and we're surprised to find out a couple days later, that the car would be ready in less then 2 weeks! Very surprising as many people were waiting for months. The day it was available, we arrived early to look for any imperfections that many owners found on their vehicles (panel gaps, scratches on paint etc...) Luckily, there were only a couple minor things that needed fixing but the service center quickly fixed these all. The only negative we have was that the delivery team wasn't the greatest at showing all the features of the car. They seemed like they were in a rush just to hand it off, despite the building being practically empty. It wouldn't been nice to have the proper walkthrough like we saw other owners have via YouTube videos after the fact. Besides this, the car is excellent and so fun to drive. The service center has been good at fixing any problem we've had or questions regarding the car. The only thing is they get busy with so many new Tesla cars on the road. Fortunately, they have a mobile service available that were tried once to rotate our tires. The mobile techs are excellent and came right to our house. The job was done in less that 10 min and he also fixed a couple other minor things we had. Saved us a couple hours on our day! Overall, the showroom is nice but you can easily order your car on your own online without the stress of being stuck with the car. read more

Bought a Tesla and had a delay in obtaining a charging cord. The transfer of the car was still in progress so I was unable to use the Tesla supercharge stations. All I needed was a single charge (willing to pay for it) to get me to the Bay Area for work the next day and the dealership basically told me there was nothing they could do for me. I am very thankful and appreciative to have a service center to rely on as the one in Rocklin for when an emergency arises. We had a flat tire on a Sunday, and by the time we arrived by tow to the service center; it was 2-3 minutes before closing. We live over an hour away and had no idea what was going to happen. I was already thinking I would need to cancel work meetings/appointments as well as our children having to miss school. Luckily, Matt from service went above and beyond to get us going. He stayed behind to change our tire by himself, and was very attentive to our plight. Being able to depend on people such as Matt gives me confidence that we did the right decision by owning a Tesla vehicle. To be completely honest, we have had nothing but great experiences with the Rocklin Tesla location. Another great individual who we have had a great experience with is Mike. Whenever we find ourselves having to bring our vehicle to the service center, we can rely on Mike on getting us back on the road. Having to either get a rental or loaner, Mike is always finding a solution. We literally said " hi we're here to pick up our vehicle that says it's ready for pick up" and she replied with " well why are you here" TO PICK UP THE TESLA YA BIG DUMMY??? She walked us around the parking lot, being so damn rude, and replied to us like we were stupid; " well do you know your vin number" " are you even sure you're suppose to pick it up today" " do you even have it registered" It was not until I replied back rudely to her that she shut her mouth and stopped with the stupid questions. Then she ended up going to another worker and he showed us how to find our Tesla by going through the app and honking it. I've come here multiple times to talk to the service department. The posted hours on their windows states they close at 7pm on weekdays. Each time I've come is well before that time and they're always closed early. How as a customer am I suppose to get my vehicle serviced if they're never open? Ask for Peter who has been there since the store I opened. They do a good job on the retail side and make sure you get what you need if it's possible. Service experience is ok, though they consistently overestimate perhaps with the intention of exceeding your expectations. For ex, I brought my model S for repair last week and the initial estimate was $2175. Eesh! I gladly picked up my car and paid the actual invoice of $975 with a sigh of release but scratching my head to rationalize if I had been played. Although Tesla Rocklin was busy too they they went above and beyond to take care of me!! Warning to anyone taking their car for service. The service department has thieves working there. Things were taken out of our car including the charger. Tesla service accused us of of not being aware enough because of time lapse. They have denied that It happened based on time laps. the fact is that it happened. These chargers are easy to get to, and efficient. The supercharger in Roseville has fewer chargers and seems less efficient (see my review of that location for more details). There's also probably less temptation here to leave the car and go shopping, occupying a space after charging is complete. read more

I scheduled an appointment 8/9 and I even called ahead to see of they could service my vehicle and they agreed. I drove 45minutes only to be told it was a mistake when I arrived. And that I shouldn't have gotten an appt. due to the detail team being swamped. They turned me away and rescheduled me for the 19th. I was furious. I had a conference call that I had to take on the road. Because this was the only appointment available. Only to be turned away, with a less than sincere apology. I have seen Tesla go down in service, sales and customer support. 4 years ago I highly recommended Tesla (purchased two of their cars, referred many of my friends) and wrote a review here. Now the store is chaotic, service level has gone down. Customer service (particularly service) is poor. I was asked to drop my car for repair. Upon arrival I was given 'we no longer can do this service' or would have to charge twice for this. It would have been nice to give a call or text if the quote is different or Tesla is no longer providing that service. No apologies either for my one hour on the road wasted in driving there. I'm not sure if this Store management is the problem or Tesla as a company is struggling. The lack of interest is evident, store manager is 'not on site' and would never call back either.
