According to the locals, this is a bigger store than the regular ones. If I get a chance to visit a regular store, I'll confirm, lol. This one does have 2 levels, and you can take the lift (elevator) or the escaltors escalators. The escalator going down wasn't working the times I've been, but just walk down anyway. They have cashiers for check out as well as self check-out lanes. Prices here are awesome! I'm a huge fan of their bakery bread and the snacks. Their sparkling water game is pretty strong, too. Don't be shocked if I check in here again, lol!

The Liverpool One branch of Superstore is not actually the most super I have come across in Liverpool as there is one in Litherland which is gargantuan in comparison. However, Liverpool One Tesco is certainly what the town needs. You still have plenty of choice here, a variety of sections such as deli, clothes and international foods to keep you adding more to your basket! I find this place more of a relaxing and enjoyable shopping experience as opposed to the Metro version by the big screen, because its more spacious and offers an abundance of products. The location isn't great if you're driving there as it'll cost you pounds to park somewhere nearby but certainly convenient when you have other chores to do around town.

It is fabulous, it is a shame that the other reviewer got nothing more from the experience than a packet of out of date biscuits, which although wrong if true is surprising based on what the place is like and the astounding range of foods in there. No good for Chinese or Thai ingredients but that is already well catered for here... really recommend, excellent butcher and with fresh bread being baked and sold in there it really is worth a look

Then I always check the bill, count every penny and every single time that has been the case. I was once told that my card didn't go through and asked me to tap 3 times in 3 different machine. The store specializes in ethnic foods, vegetables and raw meat. The store sells its products at a fairly low price and has varieties of items in their large spacious store. The store also has a corner shop to purchase sweets, alcohol cigarettes e.t.c. These are the aspects that attracts their consumers to purchase from their store. However what I find negative about T.A.K store is that the environment is unhygienic. The vegetables are placed outside the store which I feel that the food would get dirty. As you enter the store, it smells of mixture of raw meat and spice which kind of puts me off from buying from them. The environment looks kind of dirty which made me wonder how people actually purchase from them. Some of the cooking materials (such as cookwares) are badly packaged which make me doubt the quality of those products. Last but not least some of the employees seem to look unhygienic, as though they don't clean themselves. I mean, how can you trust them with food you purchase if the person who is serving seems to look like they have not cleaned themselves (not trying to be mean but this is how I view their employees). I am not saying all of the employees are like that but some of them genuinely look like that. Overall if you want to purchase ethnic foods that are low priced in Liverpool then this is the store to go to. However if you care about hygiene then I would recommend that you find another store to purchase your foods.

Now the two sit staring at each other and judging from the crush of shoppers pouring through Asda's revolving door, the Yanks won. Compared to Asda's bustling slickness and infuriating convenience, Aldi can appear a bit slapdash and sad. However, step inside and you realise it wins the lovability factor by a country fathom. More peaceful, more for your money, more German, Aldi (short for Albrecht Discount in case you were wondering) is a place where you can fill your Volkswagen boot with delicious yet unfamiliar brands and still get change from a Deutschmark. How many other places can say that?

The store inside isn't as modern as other Sainsbury's Local stores in city centres or even railway stations (compare to Manchester Piccadilly), but it gets the job done... well sort of. Selection of most items was small, especially the Free From section which was pretty much non-existent. Staff around the store didn't seem too helpful, I was told they didn't have a particular item, they didn't make as much effort as other stores have in the past to help me find it, taking one glance and just saying no, which was disappointing on both levels of service and stock. Location wise it is convenient if you are getting the train to get something for your journey or to take home, while not being the nicest convenience store in terms of overall feel and stock apart from that, considering service factors too which let the store down, I feel only a two-star rating saves it, which is mainly for providing a basic level of services to serve Liverpool Central station.

If you are like me living in the moment, or as some would say the last minute, then the opportunity to fuel up right now or buy your evening meal on the way home can be fundamental to your function. What is really good in Central Station Sainsburys is the surprising range of fresh food which amongst the fast food options give you a real choice to be healthy and cook up your evening repast from scratch. When I am feeling a bit inspired I will do just that with my favourite feasts. I confess there are times when the comfort of convenience food is just too tempting and a microwave cannelloni and a prepared salad is about as adventurous as I can manage. There are many manifestations of convenience and we all recognize that if we were perfect people with a thought and a plan perhaps stops like a Sainsburys at a station would have short and inglorious lives. Good news for Sainsburys though that, for me at least, no such carefully thought out planning has yet emerged.

If I had to compare this to a store in the U.S., it's definitely a Super Target. There's a clothing section, as well as household, office, and seasonal items in stock now. You would be in trouble if you're not able to control yourself with impulse buying. They offer the convenience of Scan, Shop & Pay, so you can scan items and pay for them as you shop. You'd need to check out one of the scanners in the front of the store, and probably download the app on your phone. Another feature offered here is the Click + Collect option (think Target Drive-Up). The store and car park are very well kept up. They are well lit and clean. I didn't see any shopping carts stranded in anywhere. The employees are friendly and helpful. You can bring in your own reusable bags, or purchase theirs at 30p ($.38) each. I highly recommend coming here for all of your grocery and miscellaneous needs. Locals can also sign up to be a rewards member for extra savings. Be extra and get your shop on at Tesco Extra!!

Upstairs has tons of DVDs and CDs as well as other electrical items, clothes and toys. Downstairs is the food and drink as well as a great range of books and magazines. There's a deli section, too. There are usually special offers on all kinds of items, these are placed in prime viewing positions for anyone browsing. I recommend ASDA to any late-night shoppers. Though be warned, the tills shut down at 4am for ten or fifteen minutes, so you may be left standing around waiting for them if your timing is unfortunate.

The cafe has been relocated to the new upper floor but is woefully short of toilets, a whole two and they're both intended for the diasbled however a wheelchair user would need to run the gauntlet of the tray carrying cafe customers and the closely placed tables in order to use them. To say the layout wasn't very well thought out is a bit of an understatement. Unfortunately the store also has a thriving home delivery service which has expanded into the carpark. Shoppers use the free parking spaces at Tesco to visit the newly built Eagles Meadow Shopping Mall which is opposite the store making parking in what was already a small carpark almost impossible on a saturday. At peak times you'll be queuing to get in and queing to get out.
