I ended up buying really adorable swimwear for my niece and couldn't help but grab one for her sister as well. Nothing cuter than matching siblings! I finally got the chance to visit one recently and the mall certainly was big. I visit SM City Clark in Pampanga. It's the largest in Central Luzon and has hundreds of shops and restaurants. There is a variety of shops from famous department stores to local bookstores. The restaurants similarly range from chains to smaller mom and pop eateries. I definitely love the variety! Since it's the holiday season, I loved how decked out the mall was. There is a giant Christmas trees along with a central area that has various photo ops with holiday decor like elves statues and presents. As much of a fan I was of the shops and th3 huge holiday feel, I was a bit disappointed when with the restroom situation. There is no toilet paper to be found anywhere! Whether it be a restroom inside a department store or one in the main mall, no toilet paper! In one restroom, there was even a janitor permanently stationed there and she didn't have any toilet paper. For such a huge mall, one would think this something as simple as toilet paper could be made available. Overall visit the mall was great with the exception of the restrooms.

And that's probably why Rustans has remained relevant. While other malls and department stores are content with featuring whoever and whatever, stepping inside Rustans was an experience in itself. If you had the scratch to spend on a place like this, you could step out of there in style. The men's section in particular gives you the whole "Manly and Classy" vibe that is just almost impossible to find nowadays. An amazing, amazing place.

It's known for its diverse range of stores and products like clothing, cellular phone sales, repairs and accessories, jewelry store, toys, pearls, souvenir items, restaurants, bars, video arcades, religious facilities and the ever popular tiangge that sells imported and local products for bargain hunters. A lot has changed but it is still one of the most beloved malls in the country.

Restaurant row was more inviting with more sit down choices and better design. Security upon entrance was still the same. Large bags were inspected upon entry. The tiangge section (Shoppsville side) was untouched with rows and rows of stalls selling pearls, clothing, suitcases, shoes and more. Everything here can be haggled over. I was on the search for some local food items but the stall I sought out was closed for some reason. The chapel in the mall was still something unique to see but quite convenient to attend mass. The indoor garden across the way was updated and more inviting than I remember with more seating. Parking here has always been and will likely still be a challenge. Security guards still direct traffic but drop off areas by the mall entrances do get backed up frequently. Definitely enjoyed the shopping experience more than before.
