The Terrace Houses were part of our tour. They are still a work in progress but truly magnificent. The Terrace Houses were the luxurious residences of Ephesus' wealthy citizens -- merchants, scholars, and officials -- from around 1st century BC to 7th century AD. They've uncovered 8 residences and each one is unique. The tile work is incredible with beautiful mosaics. I'm still trying to figure out how they got running water and underground heat in the residences. They call it the Beverly Hills of Ephesus. read more
