I had them come take care of my house for our ants/spiders the salesperson was very helpful, and service was fast and effective.

- Strike 1: Technician arrives late to appointment. - Strike 2: The cost of treatment and contract terms are drastically different than what we had discussed with the sales rep who scheduled our appointment. - Strike 3: The technician explained that that happens ALL OF THE TIME and he is REALLY sick of their call center sales reps doing that to him, because then HE has to put up with frustrated customers that feel they've been rail-roaded. - Strike 4: Cleaning, care, and vacation period were also drastically different than we were told by the phone representative. They told us to vacuum, mop, dust, and that pet accessories need not be removed from the home, and we would need to be vacated for 2 hours. After we removed pet supplies from the home, we were told we could not go back in for a minimum of 4 hours and it was suggested we wait 6-8. And of course, this treatment only has a 30-day warranty as opposed to what we were told on the phone about a 60-day warranty. - Strike 5: It took the tech an actual 7.5 minutes to treat our 3-level, 2,000sf home. I had some doubts about the thoroughness of the treatment. Turns out that was a valid concern. - Strike 6: Tech treated outside of home and missed 1 large wasp's nest right above the front door. How? - Strike 7: It's been 1 week and our initial problem is worse than when we hired Terminix. We contacted them and I guess we'll just wait to see what is done (if anything). At this point, I'd like to get my money back and hire a competitor. read more

Had them come to my house in March to kill yellow jackets on my house. I checked a couple days later and the yellow jackets where back. I got my spray out and killed them. Thinking it was just a fluke they didn't kill them all. And now the came out last week and sprayed the house again. 3 days later I check and I still had yellow jackets in the same place. I climbed up and sprayed again. After paying them 368 dollars I have had to climb up my ladder and spray them myself. A total waste of my money. Wish I would have spent the money on a sprayer so I don't have to climb the ladder. I will not waste anymore money on Terminix. read more

The service technician assigned to our house was always early or right on time for appointments and he was extremely polite every single time. Unfortunately however, throughout my entire 1 year contract, the sugar ant problem was never completely resolved despite typically having 2-3 additional service calls in between my regularly scheduled quarterly appointments. Needless to say, I cancelled the contract as soon as it was up and I'm going to go a couple months without treatment to see how that goes. If the problem really flares up, then I'll be trying a different company. read more

Since 2010 my mother, for reasons I don't understand, have used this awful company. Well, I am going to find her someone else because it doesn't take 7 years to get rid of ants. They are taking advantage of her! Horrible!!! read more

Not sure why there are so many poor reviews. I found Terminix to be very reliable and excellent communication. I had a spider problem and they have come out and sprayed with a environmental safe solution and it worked. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I was convinced to change my service from Orkin to Terminix. Horrible decision. I specifically stated I had yellow jacket nest problem and was told they would take care of it. The man came out and did a half a$$ job. After 20 minutes he comes to my door he said he took care of the nest over on the cans and asked me to sign something. I specifically asked him if he double checked all three cans (recycle, garbage, and yard debris) he said no but he would before he left. In that moment I knew he did a half a$$ job. Well my children go to take the garbage and recycling out later that evening and what comes swarming at them Yellow Jackets. He did not remove not one of the nests. I contacted the rep, he said they would send someone back out. After two weeks nothing. My husband ended up removing them himself. I called customer service and at this point I want my money back. They sent it over and said someone from the local office would be contacting me. Well a month later and nothing. Worst service ever! I'll stick with Orkin! read more

I scheduled an appointment for today in between 8-10 am taking time off work to be home. I called at 945 asking about it. I was told the local office never confirmed the appointment so eventually they would contact me to setup a time. I was told I would get a call by the local office if the time wouldn't work. Way to fail. If you can't handle keeping appointments how could you handle my pest problem. Horrible don't bother wasting your time. read more

Wanted to get a quote so booked an appointment, they gave me a 2 hour window, the day of I took off work and waited two hours for them to show up, nothing. Then I called and was on the phone for 20 minutes til I found out that they weren't coming. Not sure who these people are that can just sit around and wait for people to not show up, but I'm not one of them. They barely offered an apology. We just had a salesman for Terminix show up (on his hover board) to give a pitch at 9pm! We raced to get up to make sure the dog didn't bark, as we have a sleeping baby. The guy acknowledged this and continued without an apology. The guy then gave his sell with all kinds of "yeah, bro!" And "right on!" Everything about this encounter was incredibly unprofessional. We were left feeling uncomfortable and certain that we would never use Terminix, now or anytime in the future. read more

I wouldn't give these guys a -star if I could. Talk about terrible customer service. We paid $650 to have them come out and spray and it took them a week. The bugs were still alive and it's now been a week later and they still haven't come out to spray again after their website says "guaranteed." Been using Terminix since 2015. They complete an exterior treatment every three months. I rarely, if ever see an insect inside my house. Staff has always been on time, polite and professional and they will conduct follow up treatments if necessary for free. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews, but I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. read more

I have tried to terminate my program to no end. They showed up yesterday out of the blue with no warning. It has been months since I saw them last and explained to someone on the phone that it was best if Terminix called beforehand to check if we wanted to continue service. I explained further that we were going through a cash shortfall and it was not in our budget to continue.No phone call, letter, email, ect. I was not home and my wife let them in the back not knowing anything different. If I had been home, I would have told the service technician that we did not want service. I find it really bad business to show up unannounced and expect a patron to pay for a service they clearly do not wish to continue. I will not pay for this past visit as it was another sneak attack by a company that does not take no for an answer. I wish no stars was an option because they clearly deserve it! read more

Initially things started well. We were told we would be advised when someone would be coming and we could confirm or decline the service. This did not always happen. When you can get someone to change appointments, that's great. But if there is any issue with billing - good luck. Plan on spending 30 minutes or well more. For a part of this year I was out of State due to a family emergency and I specifically told Terminix not to provide service and it could be picked back up later. While they did not provide the service during the specified period declined, when the service was to resume not only did they provide the service that was then coming due but did it twice saying that they still needed to provide the service we had specifically said we did not want while I was out of State due to a family death, moving a parent to memory care, and selling a house. We have two dogs in the house. No notice was provided. The service tech did not knock on the door (other family was home at the time). It took forever to find out if the double application was safe for pets and family. This is bad, Bad, BAD service the whole way around. Never again! Terminix is responsable for using methyl bromide (acute toxic restricted in the USA) at a resort outside the USA (Virgin Islands)!! How is this possible? How is it that this company did not apply the same standards with other properties outside the USA? This is absolutely wrong and scarry, I am looking into changing companies as we speak. read more

Had a huge bed bug infestation. Terminix made, and failed to show for three appointments over a two day period - they then offered to make an evening appointment but flatly stated they might not show up because it was late. WTF? They also promised twice to have a supervisor call me back - never happened. What a complete waste of 2 1/2 days of my life. STAY AWAY! read more

paid the $199.00 for ants. They came and sprayed and within a couple weeks ants were back, second guy came out and wanted me to set ant traps, didn't I pay for them to do the work? He would not spray. Third guy came out and I followed him around while he sprayed, noticed he would just spray in spots not complete coverage. Then 3 or 4 days later sitting in my kitchen I just had a ant crawl up my arm. called them and the rep. didn't impress me at all. He kept telling me that the ants lay eggs then they hatch, if they did the job correctly the ant should have been dead at least after the second time. Any way I have another guy coming Monday. Hope they take care of the problem the forth time. Very unhappy with their service. read more

I don't think they deserve even a 1 star. Horrible company. Called and set up appointment on a work day. Given a 2-hour window for arrival. No one ever showed up and didn't even call to say they weren't coming. We called to complain and they never apologized. Okay, we are all human. Mistakes happen. So we set up another appointment and given a 2-hour time frame. Guess what. No one showed again!!! We called again to complain, put on hold, then they hung up on us!! Do NOT use this company. They were supposed to come inspect our entire house tonight between 3-5PM. It is a large house with multiple bedrooms a lot of prep work went into getting ready. They were a 100% NO CALL NO SHOW! And didn't even return our phone calls. I am horrified by them not coming as this was a scheduled appointment and we are being eaten alive by bed bugs. read more

Whenever I call to schedule a follow up or an appointment, the professionalism of the associates in Customer Service are polite and are willing to work with me and my crazy schedule. Also, finding out that I have one service representative at my home each time is fantastic because he knows the house and yard and knows what our concerns are and he addresses them right on the spot. read more

Sadly enough they don't even deserve 1 star. I have used them for almost 9 years and have been extremely happy until this December 2015 when a new service guy came out to do the quarterly spray, but decided to only get out of his truck to give us a bill. When I contacted the company they said they would send someone back out in 2 day - no one showed. When I wrote a review to them stating I would like them to come do the work no one responded. Days later I called again asking to speak to a different supervisor than the email reviewer no one called me back. The last call I made was after receiving the bill for the work the employee did not do. After being on hold for 40 AGAIN I had to leave a message this time for the Regional Manager who was supposed to call me and if not the Customer Service Girl stated she would call me back...NOPE NO EVER CALLED ME BACK. I guess they don't want my money or my long time service nor do they want me to recommend them to anyone. If you want someone who just bills you for work they have not completed and then ignore you when you want the work complete. This company will be for you. I for one are completely done using them. read more
