I had been reading so much history about the Camino and how the Knights Templar protected the pilgrims in their journey here to Santiago. This was a dream to see the living history here!!! Do not miss the archives and the Templar library with hand drawn and gilded manuscripts and books! One of the largest in the world dating back to the 1100 AD when the Templar's were around. Highly really recommend must stop. There is a hostel up the street from the castle that I could not find on the map but was wonderful and had great Spanish tortillas.

The museum has several floors, with lots of interactive exhibits on everything from the composition of matter to the origins of civilizations. It is great for kids, and even for grownups. There is a planetarium, where at different times of the day there is a live show of the planets and constellations.
