Karen has been our family photographer for over a decade! She's done our engagement photos,…read more wedding photos, newborn and family photos! She has always done an amazing job! On our wedding day, the power went out and she and her staff still did an amazing job with our pictures. She offers a wide variety of packages that suit our needs, as well as being available at different times to take our pictures. She has fut us in last minute and has also been understanding when we had to reschedule for sick kiddos. She is great with newborn photos and totally understands it takes a ton of time to get the right ones without being pushy on time constraints. She always does great with our kids, even when they were in terrible moods and didnt want to take any pictures. We love Karen and have even bought packages for our family members as well.

Lasting Memories by Karen Republic Missouri…read more Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. Unfortunately, it also happened to be my wedding. I ended up choosing Karen for my wedding photography because she was one of the few who offered two photographers and no time limit for your wedding day. Most photographers I found at the bridal show charged extra per hour. Leading up to the wedding, we sat down a couple of times (when we could manage to get a hold of her), and wrote out a plan for what was the most important to us and what we weren't focused on. Let's take this moment to point out that I did not get ANY of the photos that I told her were most important to me. This included any pictures of me walking down the aisle with my dad. Not one photo. I have to comment on the fact that it rained the day of our wedding, and Karen was willing to meet us at a later date to do some outdoor photos without extra charge. That was the only positive I have. But it was a huge positive that I have to give her credit for. Although she did tell us that she didn't mind taking them because she's always wanted to take pictures in Hammon's Field. So it was mutually beneficial. After the wedding, it took us over three months to get any pictures from her. I would have completely understood this, if they had been edited in any way. The only reason we managed to get these at all was because we ran into her in public. Not one photo had been edited at all. At that point, we asked her about edits, which had been a part of our contract, and she told us to go through the pictures and pick out the ones we wanted her to edit. From that day, almost three years ago, we have never heard from her again. We picked out the photos, tried to contact her via cell phone, work phone and email and she has never responded. I even called her a couple of times asked if we happened to not get all of the photos, since there were none of any of the moments we have specifically asked for. In addition to her failing to uphold our contract and omitting important pictures, she snapped at multiple friends and family, bringing more than one to tears. She caused one of my family members to have to leave the room because she was being so hateful. Also being extremely rude to a family friend who was trying to help with the day. The photos we did receive were not decent quality, and we have had multiple people comment on this. We've ended up relying on photos that guests took on their on cameras for phones. Those are the only picture of our wedding that we even use. Overall, I would never wish this experience on anyone. Do anything you can, even if it means paying double, to make sure that you get decent pictures on your wedding day. This is something that I can never get back and it breaks my heart every time I see someone else have wonderful wedding pictures. No one should have to be this upset when they think about their wedding day. I've held off on reviewing her for so long because I was hoping to eventually get something else from her or to get some photo edits. But as the three year mark of our wedding is 16 days away, I've accepted this will never happen.
