The owner of the shop was most helpful with nearly every item available in a sample taste or smell. I was especially drawn to over 20 peppers or pepper like spices and bought 3 to try. A small selection of cheese held a round disk of runny gooey yummy cheese which we had on fresh bread that night (never did get the name of it). She also had cured meats and most importantly artisan chocolates made by people trying to break into the market from Belgium, France and other places. This is a beautiful little store run by the rose gardener herself. She grows the roses and harvests…read morethe Rose honey she sells in her shop. She'll happily show you photos of her garden and talk to you about roses. We some very little French and she very little English but it was a memorable interaction I will probably hold onto for many years. Even the street it's on is absolutely charming. Just the kind of specialty shop you want to see in a lovely town. Not some crappy mass produced tourist stuff but a real charming woman who grows her own roses and makes her own honey.
