My child attends this university and both of us really love everything about it. He is a Christian so I was a little concerned. He has wonderful Christian friends who are very devout as he is. First rate university, small enough to be personal in ways the larger universities have more trouble- as in you may even get to know your professors. But also very forward thinking- first AI degree in the state of TN, just one example. Exceptionally strong departments- engineering, School of Nursing, College of Business to name a few. Teachers care, the President is phenomenal! We went to Tech, then To Auburn, then to Cornell, then to U of MD and Hopkins for medical school and residency. Our undergrad education at TTU NEVER let us down and we did not have thousands of dollars of expenses to repay. HIGHLY recommend TTU!!! read more

There is not enough parking. I had to pay over $200 dollars for a parking pass just to have to park a 15 min walk away from the dorms. TN Tech keeps taking away parking lots to build new buildings but how do they expect students to be able to use these buildings if there is no parking? read more

Very Friendly University! My son was here for Boys State and there were activities for parents. I elected to take them up on their offer to stay in the dorm rooms. They put the parents in the new dorm rooms on campus and they were great. There was plenty of room and each one had a big closet and a bathroom. There were two beds per room so you would only have to share a bathroom with your roommate. This is much better than when I was in college. Between the family picnic, the inauguration ball, and the inauguration ceremony there was plenty of time to explore the campus. This campus is very security conscious. There were emergency buttons and lights everywhere so you feel very safe walking on campus at night. Breakfast was served in the campus dining room. They had a very large assortment for what I considered a small group. I couldn't resist the hash browns and fried chicken patties. Of course I had to smother them in white gravy. I am southern after all. The food was great. The whole campus experience was enough to make me want to go back to college. read more
