Tender Touch Senior Services provides in-home non-medical care for senior adults. We are state certified and locally owned/operated. We provide companion care, personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, laundry services, local transportation, and respite care.
We proudly serve the following counties in Kentucky: Hardin, LaRue, Hart, Grayson, Green, Bullitt, Breckinridge, Marion, Meade, Taylor, Nelson, and Washington.
History
Established in 2003.
Tender Touch was started in August of 2003 with a deep desire to provide affordable, quality care to senior adults in our community and the surrounding areas.
As Tender Touch Senior Services has grown and been blessed, it has gone from an in-home office to an office building on a busy street, from 1 employee to almost 90, and in July of 2009, has added a senior adult day care (Care4Ever), all in the desire to help senior adults live independently with dignity and respect. Most recently in December of 2014 an assisted living facility has been added (Tender Touch Senior Living) where residents are treated equal and care is not based on a leveled package system.
Meet the Business Owner: Dona M.
Dona started the business in August of 2003 with a brochure, business license and a deep desire to help senior adults. She has a degree in Recreation with an emphasis in therapeutic recreation from Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY. At an early age Dona learned love and respect for senior adults through her grandparents and elderly family members. Through the years, this passion for senior adults grew as she and her husband worked with the senior adults in the church. Dona continues to be an active member in the community by providing various resources for senior adults through in-home care, a day center, free exercise classes, and an assisted living for example.
