Basic gym with two squat racks and lots of barbells, plates and dumbbells. They also have a trap bar. Friendly and relaxed. Very good value.

Big place, lots of cardio with decent amount weight training equipment in there as well…read more As with the chain, it is not expensive. There is a monthly contract possibly now, so you don't have to unwillingly get in to one year lock-in. Parking is free and there is ample parking space available. Mornings after 09:00 mostly occupied by seniors. Gets somewhat quiet around noon & early afternoon. Evenings are kind of busy mostly. After 20:30, starts to get kind of free again. But you can always manage to find your space, may be you might have to wait couple of minutes when it is really busy but that is not always. There also a number of group classes / sessions going on, haven't tried them yet, Gym floor and equipment are sufficiently neat and clean. There are some old looking cardio equipment, they could be swapped for shiny new ones. Lot of lockers are available but you should bring your own lock or purchase one at the reception for a small fee. Changing room is big enough. There are couple of toilets and showers and a small dry sauna. Toilets are neat..most of the time. No idea on shower rooms. Shower costs 50 cents. Haven't been inside the dry sauna, looks really small but fine from outside. Perfect for beginners and occasional gym training. There are also the muscle marys who appear regularly. So really for everybody.

I thought I reviewed this before...it's a high-end, better than average health club, "sports…read moreschool" in Jordaan, (Centrum) Amsterdam. It is in the belly of the beast indeed. I think it's more for people who can walk here. Downsides: Geen (no) towel service. - Locker room is stuff, no air and damp...greatly lacking in amenities. One little, nasty sink where people fill their water. The place needs some air! - Minimal bike parking. - the lockers have locks, but you need a 2-euro coin to get this bulky, non sanitary key chain to hang around your wrist? Really? Upsides; Facility is big. Has a sauna, steam room (co-ed) and the staff is nice. Nice eGym (extra cost) Music is not too loud. A great gym...wish it was a little cheaper and they had a better locker room.

Overall it is an okay gym for me. I go between 9 am and 12 pm. I have my own exercise routine, so I opted out from the premium plan that has a trainer session once every 6 weeks. There is a juice bar by the entrance; solarium; plenty of group classes. But there are few things that just makes me say "huh?" - one of them is showers. I have no idea why there are no shower doors? Also why the heck I can not control the water temperature? It runs too cold for me. I do feel miserable every time I take a shower.... :( I do like the core area, would like to see better yoga mats - current one looks like they have been through the war zone.

Always in very spacious buildings, lovingly appointed to look sensibly chic for a gym, visited by a wide mix of people. What I also like is that they renew their equipment and keep the existing equipment in great shape; this particular location seems to have just taken delivery of some new Kinesys cable equipment which is a lot of fun to use for strength training. This gym is situated on the south side of the WTC station, has always had friendly staff when I visited (it does help that I speak Dutch, I think), a quick entry procedure, and nice towel service. You will need €0.30 to pay for the electronic locker, but you do not need to bring a lock. The equipment area is big and ready, and the sauna (Mixed! It's considered normal, so learn not to stare at naked specimens of the opposite gender!) is warm. Enjoy.

I pay 20, because I also go to the group classes. Also very nice about this gym, the app: so convenient! you can check the group classes on your phone and sign up for them directly. Also all kind of information about work outs, could be handy to some people. The classes are really nice, most instructors are friendly. And there is plenty of choice and classes everyday. The equipment is ok-isch. If your thing is mostly cardio then you're fine, there are plenty of those machines available all the time. For weight lifting, well, there are a lot of guided machines, they are ok, they do the job, but they are clearly not new and I think it wouldn't hurt to replace some of them. There are not a lot of dumbbells and barbells, so it can be annoying when there's a lot of people. Sometimes it is difficult to get what you need. But I must go at the worse hours, because I find it generally quite busy. The dressing rooms are ok. You need your own locker but that's hardly a problem. The toilets could be cleaned more often... I never shower here so I don't even know what they look like. I think there is some kind of steam bath available as well, which is quite nice (I should try it once!).
