That was, until a Black Friday ad showed up on our TV and my hub called out, "Hon, come look at this chair." "Yeah, it could work," I casually replied. I had a plan. First thing, Small Business Saturday, I stopped into J&K Furnishings in the Belle Hall Shopping Center (Long Point Road) as soon as it opened. I was approached immediately by Karen who took me over to the advertised chair. She was knowledgeable and patient, even knowing that there would be no sale. I was there just to check out the chair. Yes, it was comfortable, genuine buttery leather, priced well and was exactly what I wanted. I told Karen that I'd be back the next day with my husband. We returned on Sunday and worked with Ryan who also was patient and low key. He closed the sale. We both appreciated that he did not try to upsell a higher priced chair or other items. We actually asked for a protection plan. Delivery was set and confirmed with an automated phone call. The drivers called as they were on the way. The chair is perfect ... even our our fur son approves! The entire experience was easy. If you're looking to feather your nest, or freshen up tired decor, be sure to check out J&K. She was sick of her old mattress and was looking forward to getting a new one before moving into her place. She's had plenty of back surgeries so she's pretty specific about what she was looking for. We went to a few different places and were finding options in the right price range but nothing that really wowed her. We were intentionally looking at the more popular chain stores just because they likely have locations in Charleston and Myrtle so we could make a purchase in one store and have the delivery go out of the Myrtle Beach location. The woman who helped us here asked the right questions and dialed in on exactly what my mother needed. After shopping around we were already pretty sure but, they definitely steered us in the right direction. We were able to find a mattress that was on sale and then they even sweetened the deal a little more and offered a discount on a couple other necessary items i.e. frame, mattress cover etc... Not only is what we found in the price range we were looking for but it was a top name brand with a great warranty and most importantly, my mom loved it. It turned out there was an issue with getting it delivered out of the Myrtle Beach store as quickly as we wanted but, they called the manager owner who suggested that for $30 extra (basically gas money) would deliver it to Myrtle Beach from Mt P the very next day... Sold! The delivery showed up right on time and they had the bed set up and ready for sleeping in a matter of minutes. Honestly, the transaction couldn't have gone any more smoothly. I know there's cheaper and more expensive options for bed stores out there and I didn't make it to every one but, I would say that the level of service here was exceptional and we are very happy with the purchase and the experience.
