I'm not a massage regular, so couldn't really compare to other places. As you walk in you are greeted by friendly reception staff, and if you are first timer they ask you to complete a form with your details, which includes the level of massage you like (light, firm or hard). I chose firm, not really knowing what firm was like. Then you sit in a dimly-lit waiting room to drink water or tea if you like. Your masseuse then comes and gets you when they are ready. I booked a one hour hot stone massage, so assumed it would be just placing hot stones on your back, but no. Along with the oil you are massaged with the hot stone rocks as well, which feels amazing. The rooms are also dimly-lit, even dimmer, as you lay in darkness listening to bird and monkey sounds. I was then told to turn over so my arms and legs could be done, including my head. A towel was placed over my eyes and there was some reiki. I found it very relaxing and left me with a strange feeling of happiness. I'd love to come back and try what else is on the menu. read more
