Many of us, including myself, are uneducated about appliances--stoves, washing machines, refrigerators--and rely on companies like Jimenez Refrigeration in Laredo, TX, to help us fix these devices. What a big mistake!!! The gentlemen, Mr. Jimenez, arrived at my girlfriend's home in May of 2019 and informed us that we would need a new icemaker for our refrigerator. It would take a week for the part to come in. In addition, we asked him if he could fix the washer because we were having issues with it, too. He said that it would be no problem. We gladly paid him cash for both services. As he promised, a week later he arrived to install the new ice-maker. When he left, the refrigerator was working, but, guess what, the ice-maker did not work. We called him back and informed him of the problem and he said that he may have forgotten to turn it on. He apologized and he said it would be fixed when he arrives to fix the washer. This is where things go very wrong!! Not once, not twice, but three times this gentlemen failed to show up to our house to deliver on fixing the icemaker and the washer. Each time my girlfriend called and confirmed a time and date he was a no-show/no call. This is unacceptable to me and should be for anyone anticipating services that were paid-on and promised but never delivered on. Finally, this same individual, Mr. Jimenez, shows up to our house and I'm thinking, "I'm finally going to get these items fixed!" Unfortunately, that did not happen. He informed me that they shipped him the wrong part and that he would not be able to fix the washing machine. I simply could not believe what I was hearing. I was beyond upset and very calmly (I don't know how) asked him to fix the icemaker and refund us our money for the washing machine part. He said, "Okay," and fixed the icemaker and left our home. Sadly, and it shouldn't surprise me at all, the icemaker, which he said was fixed, still doesn't work. Please, please, do not consider this company to fix your appliances. I will never call this company again nor am I interested in him fixing the "still broken" refrigerator.
