If you want to have telephone and a internet connection better not go for Telmex when you live in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. The experience I have had is based on the service of the office in Merida Center in calle 59. The manager who handled our problem was Cielo Camillo. She has the "GOD" attitude and never heart of client service or solving a problem. You need to thank her if she has time for you. She always let me wait, one time more than 2 hours! This is really not fun any more.
Our telephone is out now for 2 weeks, and it is still not fixed! They already send the bill for this month, but still we do not have any service.
First we reported to Telmex that our telephone was not working and our internet speed was going back to halve the speed as before and sometimes less. This was September 26. Now is already October 10 and still no phone.
They tell they would send a service guy. After 3 days the service guy did not show up and we go to the Telmex office to ask why we do not see anyone.. They closed the case and they told us that they service guy visited us and all was good. Mhhh there is always someone at home, we did not see anybody and nothing was fixed.
They tell us they will make a new case. I spend already 1 hour in their office, in line with other complaining people.
A few days later a service guy arrived telling, to check our line. He told that all is good and that the problem is in the posts in the street or the central. He came back after few hours telling that it was in the central. He tell Telmex will fix it within 2 days. Probably within 1 day.
After 2 days nothing, I go again to Telmex. First make the line to tell your history again, then inline to speak the manager Cielo Camillo.
Cielo made some phone calls and tell me that within 3 days should be fixed but probably more early like today. I heard this before.,
The deadline passed and again I went to Telmex, wasting already to much time there. No the complain was taken my the lady who normally send you to the manager and she called directly to the service guy supervisor. He tells me that he will call me back on the cellphone within 1 hour. Two hours later, en-fin you get it, still no call and no telephone.
I tried during this frustrating process to make a contract with USACELL and another company but they still have no lines in the center of Merida.
Cielo Camillo and her Telmex colleagues give me the most lousy experience which I had in my life with ISP's and telephone companies. This is why I give them 1 star. I realize that sometimes when you are angry you should count to 10 and breath deep, but even after that I can only give them 1 star. The attitude is arrogant and not willing to help you. As soon as other ISP arrives to the center of Merida i will change company.
I hope you as a reader will learn from my experience and not make the same mistake as me and do any contract with them, unless they promise and prove to give better service as till today customer service of Telmex in Merida is hell! read more
