This was my special find during my two week business trip to Darmstadt. It is a basic very small grocery store. But I was able to pick up little odds and ends to make myself comfortable at the hotel during my stay. They have the most amazing pretzel rolls here. They are the size of small sub roll but taste just like a soft pretzel - complete with the salt on top. I think they bake them fresh daily. Not as big as the other Tegut in the area, so much less selection. Only two cashiers, and not always at the same time, so when things get a little busy it can be a pain to check out forget about having any time/space to bag your groceries too, because when they are done with you they expect you to move on quickly. I suppose if you're in the area and don't feel like going into the Karstadt this is the place. read more
