Excellent French food worth waiting for!…read more
After our visit to Sanssouci Palace at Potsdam, we came to this restaurant for dinner. Located with the Dutch quarter, this restaurant is within a short bus ride away from the Sanssouci Palace.
This restaurant is small and most of the dining area is outdoor. Just like most European restaurants, the service seemed to be slow, and the waiters made no effort in explaining the menu. In addition, they didn't have a menu in English, so you would need a Google app to translate the menu on our own.
For our large group of 8 people, we ordered the truffle pasta and the Coq Au Vin (chicken). The truffle pasta was excellent with tender homemade pasta and generous truffle. Other guests also loved their chicken entrees.
For desserts, we had the creme brulee and molten chocolate cake. Both desserts had slight twists from the traditional versions, but they were outstanding on their own.
Our bill for 8 came to 280 euro. The food was excellent, but the service was slow, and the waiters were not very attentive. Perhaps it is from a cultural experience in dining between the US and Europe.
Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
