We were at the Altes Forstamt for dinner last August, and were seated outside in the lovely patio area, which overlooks a peaceful little square beside the moated Kirchheim Palace. The ambiance both outside and inside the resto is very very nice, and the menu is a bit more sophisticated then the usual boring south German fare of dishes overloaded with gravy. My only gripes are the lack of free wifi, though this is commonplace for Germany, and the lack of seating. Sober or drunk, Das X should be your first port of call when it comes to fast food.
