It's not a big store but it's well-organized and inviting. Betino himself is also inviting, welcoming us into the store, asking what we were interested in and having a long conversation with my husband about music (it was so long that I got really bored and went down the street for a coffee). Once Betino got a feel for what we wanted, he spent the better part of an hour pulling albums and making recommendations for my husband. He let him take his time, listen to everything, etc. He even stayed open late for us so we could finish up. We wound up buying several albums. He gave us some swag (a Betino's shopping bag, some stickers, etc) and was everything you'd want in a local record shop owner. Great guy and great little store.

And given that Heartbeat is more on the small side, that really says something about their selection! Flipping through the bins, you'll definitely spot a lot of records that are surprising to see. They had some cool factory records that you don't always expect to come across. Similarly, their new arrivals section was peppered with a bunch of titles that were of interest (or would have been, if I didn't own them already.) This was where I picked up a copy of a Josef K record. On the side of the store, what looks like it could be an employees only type area, there is a large fixture with records spine out. There are genres here, but I would definitely recommend leveraging the knowledge of the staff on what areas might suit you the best. And finally, pricing was about average compared to other stores I visited in Paris, which is to say fair for what it was. Cheers!

The prices are a little high, but everything is in great condition... and it's a brick and mortar shop... I don't mind paying a little extra for the experience of digging and finding something "in the wild" that I've been searching for. The owner was amazing. Such a nice guy... you can tell he's liked in community around him as well. People walking by waved to him and he had a couple friends stop by who were also super friendly. We talked music and travel. I highly recommend the shop. Go in. Buy some records. Talk. Hang out. Good stuff.

Mostly second hand or ..."vintage" it is a great shop. The owner is a very friendly guy, dog on the sofa, very bad record players with headphones that suck big time....so? It's a good-sized store, though not nearly as big as it should be for the amount of stock they have. This was very much my biggest pet peeve here. All the bins were stuffed full to the point where you could not flip at all. It meant pulling several records out of each row everytime you wanted to browse through. But this was worth doing in that their selection was strong across many genres. I ended up walking away with a cool Tighten up collection. Otherwise, I would say pricing and service were about average here compared to other stores I visited. That is to say, records were priced fairly and the staff let you do your thing without too much fuss. Check it out if you're in the area!

This place is not far from the Avron métro station (line 2), right off of Rue d'Avron. I give them four stars for practically being a Mylène Farmer shop!
