Me: "My Mac Pro Early 2009 suddenly won't boot and..." The response from Fix Apple Now:? "We don't work on antique devices." I know it is 9 years old, but as a graphic designer I know this computer is still used in the field. He didn't even let me finish telling him what service I was looking for. I have been going to Fix Apple Now in Hallandale for many years now. They are very friendly and professional and have great turn around times. I brought my MacBook Pro laptop to have it's battery changed due to a recall from Apple. When I dropped it off to Felix, he complained that customers never like to have their computers out of their sight and don't trust him for some reason. I should have taken that as a sign. I left my computer there in good faith. I picked up my computer later that day and saw a line at the top of the screen which gradually got worse and worse. I spoke to Felix a few days later and sent him a videotape of the problem which appeared to be a crack in my screen. He said I had to bring it back in. So I went in on a day that he unfortunately wasn't there and was helped by a female co-worker. She took photos of the cracked screen and said she would let Felix know. I asked her if I could speak to the Owner and she said "THE OWNER DOES NOT SPEAK TO CUSTOMERS." I was appalled to hear that - of course - because that is shocking from a small company such as this one and did not leave me with a good feeling at all. I knew my chances of Felix being honest about whatever happened to my computer while in his care was very low, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I called him and he again said that I needed to come in. I reminded him that I already sent him pictures of the damage and explained how difficult it is for me to leave work since I work 10-12+ hours a day, and all I needed to know was what their policy was in cases like this. The only thing he continued to tell me was that I had to bring it back in so he could see what he already saw in photos from me and his co-worker. SO I LEFT WORK TO GO THERE which is not easy for me to do. I got there and the first thing he tried to do was to take my computer into the back of the store away from me for some reason! (Why would he do that?) I asked him to look at it in front of me and within less than a few seconds he said they don't cover that type of thing. I freaked out and asked him why he made me go there in person when he knew he wasn't going to be honest about dropping my computer or whatever he did to crack my screen!? It also sounds like something is broken inside my computer because it rattles now when I move it!! MORAL OF THE STORY: DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. DO NOT TRUST FELIX. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR COMPUTER IN THEIR CARE. WHY DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY WHOSE OWNER WILL NOT SPEAK TO CUSTOMERS? I AM CALLING APPLE TO LET THEM KNOW THAT THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO USE THEIR NAME. THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE PROBLEM FOR ME NOW. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE AND DON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU NEXT. I took my phone in to be looked at for a software update failure they kept my phone for 2 hours and only Factory Data reset it when i came back to get my phone remind you its cracked and the software update failed they told me it was something wrong with my motherboard and they could fix it for $200.00 for sure or i can get a new phone and comeback to update my phone they waived my $35.00 being the fact they did nothing to the phone really. Next day i go back to the store to see the girl from yesterday as well as another employee (not the same guy who charge me 200.00) so i asked a question stating to fix my issue did you guys need to lift my screen to get to the motherboard if so is the screen included within the 200.00 the girl then went to the back for like 5 min then came to me and said 250.00 i asked why the price got higher she said would have to replace screen. Yesterday they notice the phone was cracked but still said to fix my issue would be 200.00 then she went to the back brought a younger employee out who clearly didnt know anything and as a result they said it would be a 50/50 chance of fixing my problem and the cost would be $370.00 dollars a $170 from what the previous employee told me I found a store Called Fix Cell Phones And Electronics on Hollywood blvd they fixed my software update failure and replaced the screen for $140.00 and made clear to me that there was nothing wrong with my motherboard just needed to connect it to itunes. They were going to upsell me 230.00 for connecting my phone to itunes and a screen replacement. Overall this Business suck the worst customer service i have ever had !!! None of the employees are synced with each other each one make up they own prices also took my data then tried to charge me first $35 then it was Free then lastly $99.00! If i could give them 0 Stars I sure would worst phone store ever !!! read more

THIEVES!!! BEWARE OF THIEVES!!! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I came to service my $3000 MacBook Pro that I have ordered online (with everything being maxed out) earlier this fall . Upon arrival, I have filled in all the required information as requested per technician named Brian that greeted me. Everything seemed pretty normal and they said they will take care of it, just needed to order some parts since they didnt have them at the shop for the time being and it could take some time. I have agreed to wait since it wasnt something that I needed serviced ASAP since I have another computer at work. Few days after turning my laptop to these unethical individuals- I went out of state for just over a month for work related matter. Shockingly, upon my return, I was told that they have NO RECORDS of my laptop being turned in WHATSOEVER and that I was pretty much out of luck. Tracking software that this shop uses is called "LightSpeed" and the store owner/manager named Jose didnt seem to be bothered about this situation at all upon my request to escalate this to the management level. He simply showed me that there was no record of my laptop being brought in the first place and that there was nothing they could/were willing to do. Even though we all understand that records can be deleted with a single click within any recordkeeping software. I am about to file a Police report this following week against these guys, not too sure where it would lead though. In the meantime - if you value your property, take it to any other place for repair than this one. Working with these guys could be a costly mistake. read more

Terrible service I called to have a MacBook Air battery replaced the guy that answered the phone basically didn't know what he was talking about was rude as hell and when I told him that Apple charged 129 for the same thing he was charging me $160 for which doesn't make sense ...he was rude and hung up the phone. I would never use this place . I would go somewhere else even go to Apple because if they're charging more and they're not even Apple it doesn't make any sense at all .. be careful stay away... terrible would be understatement read more

My MacBook wouldn't turn up took it to this place because of the great reviews and I'm glad I rid! Nigil (who is absolutely adorable and so cute) helped me out a lot made me feel like family rather than a customer I was scared of getting ripped off tbh but it turned out my Mac was no more good so he offered me some macs to see if I wanted to buy one in store which I did. He called me several times to tell me what he was doing to my Mac to keep me informed which made me feel great that someone actually cares and it's not just a job NIGIL YOU ARE AMAZING! I had "clicking" sounds in my iMac 27", after doing some research I found the hard drive to be almost crashing... The Apple Store genius told me that the repair was 600.00 and my computer not worth the repair... I was very disappointed since replacement value is 1700.00.... I called Fixed apple NOW and a very nice guy told me that the new hard drive started at 200.00 and if I wanted 3 TB would be 300.00 all in.... parts and labor!!!!! They fixed my computer in half a day and it is now working like new!! Kudos to Fix Apple now and shame on Apple Store for trying to abuse their loyal clientele. read more

Complete swindlers. Usually I sell all my old Apple products to these guys..until today. I spoke to A person who supposedly was in charge over the phone and was given directions to look my product up on gazelle.Once I look my product up on gazelle and saw the asking price of 230 I headed over to the store with the intent to sell my product for that price. Once arriving to the store the person in the front told me it doesn't work like that and that they go off the prices of eBay. Not knowing that I was looking up prices on eBay as well and I knew that the prices on eBay were going anywhere from 300 to 200. This guy offered me 150. I politely declined the offer and set in my mind that I would never shop with them again or do business any matter of Business with them. Got my iphone 6s cracked screen and LCD repaired for a total $80 after tax with free tempered glass screen protector. I just walked in and they had it done around 30 minutes. Staff was courteous and laid back. I called ahead and there was no wait. This is such a great price, but I will say next time I drop it, I will probably just buy a used iphone 8 for $200. Never in the mood to pay more than that for technology that keeps updating even after iphone X. read more

Ended up bringing my phone back one last time to extinguish every possibility that could be causing the battery to drain. Since they had already tried changing the charging port and battery with no luck, the owner asked if it was cool to keep it for a week so they could bring it to their lab and take a look at the motherboard and some microscopic parts... pretty impressive! I don't think most repair shops even offer that kind of service. Unfortunately, the exact problem still couldn't be found but is assumed to be related to some corrosion and water damage. I had brought an external hard drive in with the phone and they backed it up on there for me, just incase. They weren't able to get the phone 100% repaired, but they did get it to so that it could turn on and charge again, the battery just still drained quickly (when I originally brought it in, it had died and couldn't be charged or turn on.) I will likely use them again if I have issues with my new phone in the future. read more

Sweeeeeeet!!! Duddddddddeee! This place rocks. I'm an apple junkie and a sucker for consumerism, so of course I have an iPhone. When I first got my fancy phone I got a case and a screen cover, because I was going to keep this thing in PERFECT condition, right? Right. Until this past Sunday--of course it had to happen on a holiday weekend--I was walking down concrete stairs to go into a movie theatre when it happened. That clumsy putting away my keys, while trying to text, and check myself out in a mirror (obviously), my phone leaped from my hands and suicide jumped straight onto the concrete steps face first. I knew, I just freakin' knew when I picked it up it wasn't going to be pretty. Well, if you think a complete, intricate spider web is pretty, then it was pretty. After learning Apple was going to charge me $199 for a new replacement screen (the LCD was fine, just the glass) and not wanting to drop that on a new phone (I'm convinced as soon as I buy a new phone a new version will come out within 8 days), I fretted and fretted of what to do...and then a friend told me about this place!! It was like the skies opened up and God himself pointed me to Hallandale Beach. I called and they quoted me a price over the phone ($65 for replacement of just glass on a 3GS), told me it would take about 30 minutes and to come on by, they were open until 7. So off I went. Although it is in a dingy (older?) strip mall, the shop was clean and did not appear like I was in a discount electronics store where someone was clearly going to rip me off. The price was the same as offered on the phone, the service was under 30 minutes, and I no longer need worry about getting glass shards in my fingers while trying to order pizza. They cover all Apple products and I will definitely be back! read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I cracked my iPhone 6 screen earlier today in a parking lot. I searched yelp to see who had the best reviews near my house and this place did, so I gave them a call. When I arrived they were ready for me. They took my phone and within 10 minutes the screen was fixed. It was incredible how fast it was. The woman quoted me 49 minutes to an hour, but I guess since they weren't too busy it took no time. They also have a 90 day warranty which is awesome. I would definitely go back and highly recommend this place. read more

Completely shattered my iPhone 6 screen, brought it to them about an hour before closing - the was no line at the time so the replaced the screen immediately and it looks and works like new... the guy sitting at the front desk was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, making the overall experience was a positive one... I've had the phone back for about a week now and it's like it was never broken. BTW - The signage sucks - I walked past the space TWICE, but still well worth it... Also there's a great little Cuban cafe on the corner - I had a cafe con leche and pastelitos there while I waited - will definitely be going back for more :) read more

These guys are great! I had a keyboard letter that wasn't working. They weren't sure if they could fix the one key for $25 or would need to replace the whole keyboard for $260. My macbook was running slow for almost a year. Afer a phone call with apple support I decided to visit the genius bar at the apple store. They told me the problem was a smalll cable on the hard drive and they charged me $100 but the computer was still running slow. I decided to take it to Fix Apple Now amd in 5' Brian was able to diagnose the issue. I broke the back glass (covering the camera) to my iPhone X. Apple wanted $600 for the fix. I asked for quotes from every repair shop in town and Fix Apple Now were the only people who said they could do it. They offered the part and communicated when it got there. Showed up as a walk-in around 11:30 to see what these repairs would run on my iPhone 5. The front screen had a bad scratch and there was a spot on the camera lens that was showing up in every picture. Was quoted $110 for screen and $65 for the camera. They told me it would take about an hour to complete both repairs so I decided to wait. Less than 45 minutes later they were done. Because they were doing both repairs, they game me a discount so the total repairs were $159 which included tax. In the future, any future Apple repairs are going to be done here. I've never written a Yelp review in my life but this one was warranted. I dropped my phone on a trip to the Keys and it worked fine for about a week before entering a boot loop. A few times I got it to turn on but for the most part I thought all hope was lost. I brought my phone in and originally was told they couldn't help me due to water damage. The young man working in the shop stepped in and took a look to see what was possible. My phone is still water damaged and there are a few issues but the boot loop stopped completely and I was able to access some really important information. Best part? There was no charge. These folks aren't in the business of being greedy. If you're having some weird iPhone or Mac probs, bring your devices here. You're in good hands. read more
