We were also worried that getting our phone fixed in Vegas was going to be extremely expensive compared to home but it was actually cheaper. UPDATE: This guy continues to message me. A false hope. There's always a catch when it comes to cheap prices for phone screen repairs. These people temporarily fixed our iPhone. After 2 weeks the screen cracked and the screen started popping out. We have made a call in an attempt to resolve the mater, but all we were told was "put some glue on it, if you had the insurance this would've covered it." This insurance was never recommended to us. They sell this idea of convenience when coming to your office, but Dustin brought two girls that he said were in "training". No one was dressed in any way professional, and there was a terrible odor that came with the team. When going into an office, you would think that they would conduct themselves with some sort of pride. I kept them in the front office where visitors would be because of this poor appearance. One of the girls left the office after I told her she was not allowed to go into my personal office and sit on my couch. The other girl then started on my phone. It was never disclosed to me that a 'trainee' would be working on my extremely expensive Iphone 7. Over and over, Dustin would shout that she needed to do something differently, press harder, press softer, use a different screw driver. It was completely nerve inducing. The girl working on the phone was loud and interrupted the business of the office terribly, my coworkers and I had to ask her to be quite multiple times. Dustin just stood there half watching her. His phone went off and he proceeded to take the call in the office, rather than walking outside. Then his other phone went off and played LOUD music which really disrupted the office. He still didn't walk outside and we had to ask him to please step out of the door (5 feet away from him). Multiple coworkers made complaints against the behaviors he and his team exhibited. It was absurd that a company could operate this way, with the complete unprofessionalism, from the beginning. Also, it's been only 4 days and there are small light scratches on the glass that simply appeared OR it was this way when installed or scratched by an amateur technician and I didn't notice. I have not done anything to my phone and has the previous screen for 1.5 years with no problems. Dustin takes no accountability and I have screenshots showing him stating "it's your fault not mine". He criticized me for getting the iPhone 8 (I got a free upgrade), and called me dumb. After it was obvious he didn't want to help me out, I hung up the phone. Later he sent me a text that "he has been doing this for 15 years, a lot longer than I have" (see screenshot). I told him that being cocky and rude isn't the best way to build a customer base. The faceplate replacement on on Nexus 6 did not go well. First problem: the last step in the repair is to glue the backplate back on the phone. Then the backplate is securely taped to the phone body so the glue can set. Rather than waiting for the glue to set, the phone is immediately shipped back to the owner. Tape removal is left to the owner. It is difficult to remove and leaves leaves your phone sticky. In a live chat with Mr. Knight, he said that was normal and suggested I use acetone to clean up the phone. Second problem: The glue did not set up properly in several areas. Mr Knight suggested that I re-glue the areas that did not set. Third problem: The microphone and speaker mesh were missing. Made the phone look like it was falling apart. Mr. Knight said this was normal because the mesh was not provided with a new faceplate. Fourth problem: I left the phone on my desk overnight while it was restoring my apps and data. In the morning I discovered a crack in the faceplate that went right down the center from the top to the bottom of the phone. I did nothing to the phone. It was sitting on my desk. To this issue, Mr Knight said that he was sorry that I broke my phone again and it would not be covered under warrantee. read more

This company is terrible. In November I turned in my iPhone 6plus for water damage repair. Dustin ensured me that he would work this promptly. I had all my fathers photos and videos on this phone from before he passed last year. When I got a new phone, I kept this one just incase I could get it fixed sometime down the road. I met with Dustin and turned it in. About a week later he told me that the shop he took it to couldn't repair it so he was going to send it off to NY to have more extensive repairs done. I was told this would take up to 10 weeks. I was willing to wait because I wanted those photos/videos back. I called in March to ask where my phone was. Dustin was very impolite and told me that he wasn't responsible for it because the company he took it to to have it repaired had sent it off. He told me that I should call that company because he didn't want to be the middle man. I called that company and they were very polite. They told me that they don't send phones off anywhere if they can't repair them and that they are sure they gave it back to Dustin. I called Dustin right after that and didn't. receive a phone call back. It has been 3 days. I call the other company two days after the initial call and they called and talked to Dustin to verify they gave it back and they said that they talked to him and confirmed they gave it back and said that he told them he had no idea where the phone was at. The other company went on to tell me that he is a shady person and has lost phones in the past and they don't like doing business with him at all. They then gave me his direct number and I called him. The first time it rang and then someone ( I assume Dustin since it's his personal phone #) picked up and then immediately hung up the phone. The next thee times I called after that it went directly to voicemail. I have also texted him with no response. At this point I am not sure if I will ever get my phone back. Dustin (Tech MD) has terrible customer service and he lacks basic organizational skills. How do you just lose a phone? How do you not return a concerned customers multiple phone calls? They work out of their local residence in Sandy. That's cool. I gave 4 stars only because their place needed a little TLC. I recommend since they are using it for business and home life that they keep up with the cleaning and maintenance. He says "well that's part of the promo" ok, cool.. so then why was I never told about it? Poor and Uncomfortable experience. I loved the concept-a tech shows up at your home and fixes your iphone screen! Too bad is went so poorly. Didn't fix it properly the first time, unprofessionally accused me of breaking it, realized his mistake and tried to make it right by fixing it again and replacing my battery for free. Unfortunately he didn't glue the battery in right and now it's rattling inside and occasionally turns off unexpectedly. Also now my volume control does not work. The owner, Dustin Knight, is a fraud. Absolutely avoid doing "business" with this "company". I paid money upfront, which most tech places don't make you pay until service has been completed. I paid money upfront to have my phone fixed within the promised 2 week time period, I didn't get my phone back until 2 and half months later, and it is still in its broken state. Dustin guarantees to fix it or a certain amount of money will be refunded, well when I asked Dustin for my refund, he tells me he "doesn't care" and that the tech is responsible for paying me back. After speaking with the tech, I came to find out Dustin never paid the tech for my phone. I was without my phone for over two months and when I would try to get answers as to what is going on with my phone, I would just get the run around, and Dustin would just blame it on hiring a "young" and "in-experienced" guy, and place all the blame on him... who is running this company?? Take charge of your company and your employees and look after your customers, they should always come first. I cannot believe this company is in business. Tried contacting them, refused to speak to tmobile to get try to get the service working again. I then contacted T mobile to learn the phone was not fully paid off, and Dustin who sold me the phone stopped paying for it. Contacted him he offered me a refund well under what I paid for the phone, and told me it would 2 or 3 months for the refund. I told him I would like the phone fixed and not his under what I paid refund. He ended up swapping me for another S6 of different carrier. Was a dead spot on the screen, he sent it in but then said was not under warranty. Long story short never ended up with a working phone, or a refund. Also the place is a bit of travel for me. This has been the worst experience. It started out great. Scheduling the appointment was easy. They came out the same day. She. They came out to replace the screen on my son's iPhone 6s. Somehow when they replaced the screen they ended up breaking the camera on the phone. The tech went out to his car, got a new camera and replaced the broke one and it still didn't work. He had me call the office and set up an appointment with the owner, Dustin. In the meantime. I let my son use his phone to text. While he was using it. The new screen split and a crack when down the screen. It was never dropped. Dustin came out the next day and was completely dismissive (said something about how screens don't just crack). My son is 11, was sitting on the couch, only used it for 20 minutes and never dropped it. I was with him the whole time. Dustin couldn't get the camera working and said it would be another $115 to replace the screen again. I said no and took the phone to another phone repair shop. The tech worked on it, replaced the battery, and couldn't get the camera to work. He said that in the original repair Techmd had damaged the board. He also said that with a new screen breaking that quickly it looked like there might have been a screw left in the phone so it pushed against the new screen. I contacted Dustin at TechMD again with the statement and letter from the other service shop and Dustin had me take the phone to one of his affiliates. This shop worked on the phone for over a week. I spoke with them a few times and one of the techs admitted that they got a lot of business correcting TEchMD's work. They also were training the TechMD technicians to do the replacements correctly. They were unable to fix the camera. They contacted Dustin, the TechMD owner and told him. Dustin the. Had me contact a company in New York with details and they said it was not something that could be repaired. The process to that point had taken about 2.5 months. Dustin finally admitted that he needed to just replace the phone. He had no money so it would be next month before he could do it. I called at least 2-3 times a week. One time I actually got through to him and he said he's ordered a new phone and we should get the replacement soon. He eat into detail about the phone and it didn't match my son's phone and when he realized who I was he started stuttering about how this had happened with someone else and that he hadn't actually ordered my son's replacement yet. He offered to use his personal Verizon account upgrade to get a new phone, but I would have to cover the $170-$225 upgrade cost. I told him no thanks-that I was fine with receiving a refurbished iPhone 6s that matched the one they damaged. He wouldn't return my calls, emails, texts. I began calling the office and leaving them messages as well. My ex called and got ahold of Dustin because it was from a different number. He said he would report hi to the Better Business Bureau and Dustin replied that he wasn't liable and there was nothing we could do. It has since been 4 months. We can't get ahold of anyone. This has been beyond frustrating. Stay away from TechMD and don't trust anything they say. We spent over $225 in all of this and still do not have a functioning camera. read more
