In the center of the chapel is the sculpture, the veiled Christ, which as it sounds is a sculpture of Jesus with a veil over top of him. The fact that it's carved out of marble is pretty unreal. It apparently only took a few months to do, and his intricate down to the veins in his forehead.

Downstairs is the area labeled anatomic machines, where there's an incredible dissection, primarily of the circulatory system. It looks like something out of the bodies exhibit, but was done in the mid 1800s.
While this is a quick stop, the sculptures here are among the most impressive that we've seen. And while we're not experts, you don't have to have a degree to be able to recognize master level work.
Bottom line, it is well worth your time to stop in and see these beautiful sculptures.
