It also has a cafe and concert hall on the ground floor. I saw the exhibition for Iberé Camargo, a famous Brazilian painter known for his dark, heavily oil painted figures with a bicycle. I'm sure there was deeper meaning for each iteration of the pictures but held diminutive titles like you are worthless, made it seem little dreary. I wasn't a particular fan of this artist, but his work covered the entire third floor, so quite a collection. There was a curator on staff who was starting conversations with interested patrons. The museum is free and there are rotating exhibits so it's worth returning to.

Beautiful theatre at the posh Minas Tênis Clube that books really good quality shows. We've gone to…read morea few theatre and music performances specially geared toward kids and all were fantastic. There's a main very good size theatre, with sloping rows of comfortable seats (get there early to pick up one of the boosters if you need one), as well as a smaller multi-functional space upstairs. Admission prices are generally quite steep (discounted if you're a member of the clube or have an account with bradesco), but based on the excellent shows we've seen, it is more than worth it.
