Bruce got (he thought chic schnitzel) but was a thin fried chic steak with veggies too, no sauce. This area has foods traditionally Italian but also Austrian-Hungarian...hence our lunch! Waiter was friendly and helpful. The restaurant changed names a month ago but basically same restaurant as before.

The only reason I'm not super fond of lasagna is a lot of red sauce, but this cafe had no red sauce on! Was the lasagna a little dry from being heated up continuously? Yes. Was it still good? YES!! The rest of the food really depends on who is eating it. Our chaperone is Italian and she loves the food there. However, most of my American peers did not finish their dishes while me and the professoressa nearly licked our plates clean. Maybe the restaurant is understaffed, but we weren't getting much attention from the waiter and any attempt to beckon him over didn't work. Instead of asking for the check to the table our chaperone had to go inside and then come back out and wait. This would probably be a better experience if there wasn't 10 of us but still, the place lacks in service. There's some interesting foods in this place but also some safe bets so you won't be disappointed whether you're looking for some real Trieste food or ordering chicken and potatoes.

I am there at Trieste Intermodal Maritime Terminal to board a cruise ship. It was one of the best…read moreexperiences I've boarded, and I also loved the departure a week later after our cruise vacation. The luggage drop-off in front of the terminal building is so easy. No porter is needed. I have to drop it on the luggage conveyor belt. That's it! Done! Of course, I must ensure my luggage tags are on all my luggage. We were there at around 12:30 pm. No waiting for boarding at all. We are at the cruise ship's buffet 30 minutes later. This is one of the best boarding experiences I have had with cruise terminals. The departed are also very smooth. We had our breakfast buffet and saw our luggage arrive at the port, and started moving by the forklift. The luggage was just ready at the same time when we got there. Perfect timing! I hope the terminal can improve transportation from/to the airport or train station. It is a mess. I hope they can arrange a shuttle bus for the passengers who have to go to the airport or train station. They don't have enough taxis.
