Quite good (Roman) pizza It's a small place, with an ever…read morerotating selection of pizzas that you pay for by weight (order by slice, so to speak) Not really a place to sit and hang (hence the ambiente of 3*), but that isn't really detrimental, I mean, this is kinda the point here The pizza itself is quite good, but not GREAT. In short, a place that you'd be happy to stop by for a taglio when you have the hankering, but not really a Desti stimo...

There is no seating inside but it was super easy to order as everyone spoke nearly perfect English. We ordered three different types of pizza that I can't remember what they were but everything was so delicious! Crust was thin and chewy and toppings were plentiful. We could tell it was a popular spot as there were tons of people standing outside waiting or eating

They are like the typical bar in Italy but with a twist towards the end of the day, they play a lot of bachata or Latin music on the sound system. We took a 30 minute tour of the theatre with a woman who was very knowledgable about the history of…read morethe theatre. She offered many historical facts and things one cannot find online. The theatre construction was begun in 1821 by the Duchess of Parma, the former wife of Napoleon I. In later years, there were renovations done. Around 1850, the theatre was redone with the classic red velvet that exists today. In 1907 the stage lighting became electrified. On our tour, we went onto the main floor where workers were preparing for the annual Verdi Festival. We then went to one of the boxes to see how the more wealthy patrons would enjoy opera. After seeing this part of the theatre, we went upstairs to a dance area and a public meetings room. This was also adorned with colorful paintings. I'd love to see a Verdi opera here but I'd pick Otello as my choice instead of Don Carlo. This is worth a visit if you're in Parma.

The staff nicely explains each dish and the background of its story. You receive a printed card showcasing the story and theme before the meal (in our case misery and nobility), then a copy of the printed menu, and a separate menu with the substitution if you have a dietary restriction. I didn't know they had an extensive kitchen and staff of 65 that works on the preparations and execution behind the scenes. It was definitely the most expensive fine dining experience in Europe, possibly the most expensive restaurant in Italy. But it was worth trying it. Very different from the Paul Bocuse experience, and different from Japanese fine dining too.
