I had high hopes for my experience with Tease Boudoir Photography, especially since my cousin and her partner had such a great experience and received stunning photos. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of those expectations. My session took place in March 2024, and leading up to it, I was asked to complete a questionnaire about my preferences and the type of photos I wanted, which initially made me feel optimistic. However, once I arrived, I felt completely ignored. The makeup artist she hired was incredible--my hair and makeup were perfect--but that was the only highlight. I didn't get any input during the shoot itself, and the photos all seem to follow the same template she uses with every client, with no personal touches or customization based on my preferences. After the shoot, the process of receiving my photos was drawn out over several months, and not all of the photos seemed edited--just the few I approved. Communication during this time was difficult, and her responses to my follow-ups were often hostile and unprofessional. It's disappointing, especially for someone who advertises herself as an "award-winning" boudoir photographer. I couldn't find any evidence of these awards, which made me question the legitimacy of her claims. Overall, my experience was disappointing. While I've heard amazing things about other boudoir photographers, I can't say the same about Tease Boudoir Photography. I won a boudoir session with Shawna (the owner of Tease Boudoir Photography) at the Calgary Bridal Expo. She reached out to me via email to book the free session which included hair and makeup, access to her "client closet" and $250 off photos if I wanted to purchase them. She was very professional and kind throughout our conversations via email. When the day came to take photos I was a little nervous and didn't want to feel like a Barbie. I went to the studio and was greeted by the hair and makeup artist. I soon found out that it was just her and I. Michele was her name and she not only made me look so beautiful but also got me laughing and smiling and took all my fears away. I then got to meet Shawna who had an abundance of compliments for me. The hair and makeup artist left and Shawna sat down with me and explained everything that I wanted and needed to know before starting. She helped coordinate outfits and accessories that I had brought with some of her own pieces from her "client closet". I walked out of that changing room a whole new woman! Shawna made me feel fabulous and took all the stresses away that I had, like how to pose, what my facial expression should be and where the heck do I put my hands?! I did a shoot with Shawna who owns Tease Boudoir and she is amazing. She gave me direction as well as made me feel very comfortable. Her studio is stunning. We also did an outdoor session and she came up with some ideas that made the session even more original. I was recommended by two other girlfriends who have worked with her. I had had a shoot with another photographer that I was very unhappy with. I am super happy with her work. I purchased an album of which my boyfriends loved!! I am proud to post a few images from the outdoor portion of our shoot. I will def be doing another session with her. My boyfriend and I want to do a couples session. If you are considering doing a boudoir session Shawna is your girl. She is so talented!!! read more

Shawna is the most incredible and talented human. From the very beginning when I reached out she was patient and encouraging. By the time I got to her studio I felt like I already knew her. My nerves and insecurities didn't stand a chance against her and the empowering vibes she emits personally, and in her studio. She was so dedicated to making sure I felt comfortable that she would coach me through every pose, or even demonstrate it herself if I was unsure. When I saw the photos I was honestly blown away. She turns every picture into a work of art. If you're thinking about doing a boudoir shoot I can't recommend her enough. I could rave all day, but I think everyone should just experience it for themselves. read more
