I did a search on Yelp for bubble tea in Iowa City, and I found this gem. I ordered their large oolong milk tea with honey pearls and egg pudding -- I did no sugar and no ice because I don't want my tea watered down from the ice melting, and the honey pearls itself already sweetened the tea perfectly. They were generous with the toppings, and they followed the instructions even though my drink isn't the easiest to make. My partner did a large strawberry bits and banana slush (they allow 2 fruits) with regular sugar and strawberry jelly. The staff were very friendly and sweet. When we arrived around 5, it was pretty busy with 4 other customers there, and that's how you know they're doing something right. It's a really cute space, and I'd definitely study here pre-COVID if I was a Hawkeyes student. I love how they have a wall of post it notes, so we added one to the wall to commemorate our time here. A new boba spot! I'm so excited. I've gone to Teamo twice this week for their soft-opening BOGO deal and I've been more than satisfied with what I've gotten. I've tried their signature milk tea and the matcha milk tea and they were both great but I definitely have to go with the classic black milk tea with their honey boba. The tea isn't too sweet and the boba was cooked to the perfect consistency. Prices vary depending on what you get but I think the prices were pretty normal. The menu is limited until the grand opening, but for now they still have both fruit and milk teas in a variety of flavors with a variety of topping options. The space is relaxing with its blue walls and there are a good number of tables and couches to sit at. It still feels a little bit empty to me but hopefully they will fill it out more and add more seating or decor. They also have a post-it wall which is cute.
