Scotiabank is horrendous, they have destroyed my credit, despite the fact that I have paid a debt,…read moreon my credit file it is still showing as unpaid and an R9, I have fought with them tooth and nail, they will admit the debt has been paid, and in the very next sentence, "No, we are not manually correcting your credit file" The debt is been paid off several months now and they are still doing monthly updates stating it is unpaid. On a different note, May 2016 Scotiabank did a credit check, originally they denied even doing a credit check, when I provided proof they did, somehow it went from denying a credit check even occurred to having an iron clad rock solid proof an anonymous person online applied for credit and that anonymous person was me, they refused to remove that credit check as well. I have filed a complaint with the Ministry against Scotiabank, considering I can prove all of the above, I have no doubt the Ministry will rule in my favour and I hope Scotiabank gets a fine over this.
