Took my daughter to get evaluated for an ear infection- the doctor took a peek at her ear, didn't…read moredo much as far as an evaluation. Prescribed her a generic antibiotic for 10 days and told me to bring her back if it wasn't resolved. I called today, the receptionist told me that this would count as a new evaluation since it had been 10 days. She told me that if I would have had to come in sooner they could have done an evaluation if it hadn't resolved. I argued that she was still on the antibiotic and was told to bring her back after she had finished her course of treatment. The cost of each evaluation is $170. So I would be out of pocket $340, so they can prescribe a new prescription. The healthcare system is so broken! Consider going elsewhere for your medical needs!

They didn't provide much correspondence directly to me when voicing my concerns/issues, but they weren't blatantly dismissive either. I saw the doctor once and he looked outright exhausted/checked out. He didn't follow up with me at all before getting discharged; this was delegated to the nurse that was looking over me. Overall, the care wasn't bad. They did labs, X-ray, and general monitoring. Overall, I feel impartial.

I am an RN....and I have also had the pleasure of working at a rural hospital that was a whole lot more hoppin than little Madisonville, so I went into it with open eyes. I got extremely ill on Christmas Day ... yeah ... I know... it sucked, and I went to the hospital with an open mind. There were 4 in front of me, but I was back in a room within an hour and a half and that was with them having a Critical care heart patient that came in via ambulance. The nurses were spot on and absolutely amazing, Even the doctor was able to prioritize and came in to see me several times even after another ambulance came in. The only reason I am giving them a 4 instead of five is because they had to put me into one of their older ER rooms and my brand new sweats I was wearing got a sticky black gunk on them from the older table I sat on that didn't come out. Boo As far as quality of care goes, I truly felt like I was in capable hands.

I'd like to start by saying I've lived in this town for going on 20 years and I've heard a lot of…read morenegative reports about Parkview regional Hospital in Mexia, Texas, but I'm here to tell you first ,that my father-in-law was in Parkview and he was treated excellent. my brother-in-law was in Parkview visited both of them and every time I did everybody was as nice as could be no complaints but now I can report a personal experience I had to live in the hospital for three days with cellulitis and I couldn't have been more pleased with the care that I've received. Any number of between eight and 10 different RNs and LVN measured right up to the top of the scale. Both, Megan case manager for Dr. Timothy Alan and Dr. Allen visited daily and examined the charts and gave helpful advice to the staff, and were kind enough to stop in and ask my feelings on what was going on and you don't find that in a lot of places.I think these people that are down on the hospital ought to give it another look of why their experience wasn't the same. I know all situations are different, but nobody could change my opinion!!!

After she looked at my name 3 times and continued to say O'Donnell, I asked if she meant O'Dell? She said, "Oh ya." As soon as I sat down at admitting she took a phone call, then another clerk asked her to look at something and then she started with my info. She wanted me to initial and sign documents without me reading them. I finally asked for them to read. I finally got to go to x-ray and I asked that clerk how long would the wait be? She said since you are the 9:00 appointment (it was now 9:50) it will be immediately. After 15 more minutes I got the mammogram. If you have a life, don't come here because you will wait forever!

They not only called security on a patient requesting an advocate and were quick to make themselves a victim with fabricated information that left security feeling the need to apologize and blaming their behavior on having "mostly druggies" and patients. The doctors were wonderful, and my procedure went great, but the care on the med surg floor was abysmal and left me thanking God that the doctors did well with the procedure and there were no complications

As for the quality of care id have been better off at a veterinarian. Also a huge thank you to the same nurse who told me to wait outside after discharge for 5 hours for my family to come get me. If you are unfortunate enough to end up in this ER and get a heavy set white girl with black hair as your nurse RUN!!! She has the worst bedside manner and lowest standard of patient care i have ever seen. Thankfully my family could tell I was unwell and they took me to Baylor where I was admitted.
