This is New Zealand's newest & most interesting premium meetings and events venue, in the heart of the South Island. It opened in 2021 beside the Ōtākaro Avon River at the center of the city.
After the devastating earthquakes of 2011, the Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre underwent an impressive rebuild. It was designed by a renowned New Zealand architectural firm, Warren & Mahoney. After 4 years, 3 million hours of labour, $450 million and 43,000 lineal metres of timber Click-on Battens, the building is open & very popular.
Te Pae can hold 2,000 people, and the tiered 1400-delegate auditorium can be divided to host two events simultaneously. The additional meeting rooms include flexible spaces of varying sizes, across a total of 1,600 sqm. The exhibition hall accommodates 200 exhibition booths, and can host a range of exhibition requirements. read more
