Went to see *Sleeping Beauty* performed by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with TCU, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect going in. It turned out to be a really enjoyable experience. The orchestra sounded great, and it looked like TCU students acted out parts of the story alongside the music, which added a nice visual element. The show was about an hour long, making it perfect for kids--it kept my daughter engaged the whole time. Overall, it had a great atmosphere and was a fun, family-friendly event. I'd definitely consider going to something like this again. read more

Last Saturday I attended a stage performance of Othello at the Marlene and Spencer Hayes Theatre at TCU. As usual, the students performed at the top of their game. Of course, the actors are only the face of what goes on with events such as this. There are also the ushers, props staff, lighting and sound techs, and so many more behind-the-scenes people who are crucial to putting on an event such as this. TCU is beautiful and the teachers in the business school are great. However, they upset me. They market themselves as a Christian university, but they are actually a secular school. I learned this when I had to take a religion class and my teacher taught me that "God is a liar", "God is a white racist", and the "virgin Mary was having sex". However, TCU has gone woke. This miserable teacher reported the 9 students who disagreed with her for cheating. Even though she had no grounds and the faculty promised to make it right, they protected her and punished their students. It was disgusting and the fact any teacher is allowed to promote that at Texas CHRISTIAN University is absolutely disgusting. Also, tuition has gone up every year that I have been here and I do not know what for. Absolutely no reason tuition is over $70,000 a year and there is nothing special about it. read more

Texas Christian University (TCU) was a must-see school to visit on our daughter's list. So, we signed up for a campus tour. We were divided into groups of 20. We walked over 4 miles, lol. This traditional liberal arts college definitely lives up to its reputation. We were excited to hear about the new medical building opening in 2019. The activities offered at this campus are endless absolutely no reason to not be involved in something. The Christian foundation at TCU is not nearly as aggressive as some of the other Christian colleges. The landscape is beautiful ~ beds of purple flowers everywhere donated by alumni, school spirit is widely worn by all students with pride, and people everywhere were friendly and helpful. This campus has a solid security system with cameras, emergency phones, security officers roaming around in golf carts and on-campus police you can call anytime day or night. Overall we were 100% impressed with the college just not sure this is the program for her. #GoFrogs #TCU read more

There are a thousand things you can say about the college you went to, from the education you received to the good times you had. For now I will say it was a-okay mainly because I paid 5x more than state tuition and I am not earning 5x as much as those that went to a state school. So, was it worth it? Probably not. Even though I did not attend TCU (I should have), I have always LOVED their campus and the people there. I have lived in Ft Worth most of my life and have a lot of friends that attended this school and loved it. My daughter is attending a summer reading program here, and we stroll around the campus grounds after her class and just talk. It's so pretty. read more

This review is from a recent conference that I attended in July. This is one of the cleanest campuses I've ever visited. I've visited OSU and WU and mainly in California. The whole campus was absolutely gorgeous. The swimming pool and the gym was really well kept. You need a pass in order to get in, so you can rest assured that it's safe. Knowing how hot Texas is, you can actually do most of your activities in the gym. There is an indoor track and treadmills. The dorms room are big in my opinion. TCU's colors are purple and white, so don't be surprise if everything you see from the road signs to the chairs to the carpet is all purple. read more

Hail all hail, TCU. Mem'ries sweet. Comrades true. TCU is an excellent university with a rich history in both Fort Worth and Texas in general. While high school was a blast, my time spent at TCU was truly the best time of my life. I was challenged academically by my professors and classmates and I was exposed to people from different backgrounds. TCU focuses on creating worldly citizens of its students and that is evident by the vast opportunities available for students to study abroad. While a student at TCU I traveled to Spain, England, Sweden, Argentina, and Denmark. Those experiences have greatly enhanced my knowledge of other cultures and provided me with great experiences that have translated into a greater worldview as a history teacher. Another thing that sets TCU apart is the first year experience, also known as FYE. As an incoming freshman, I reluctantly signed up to go to Frog Camp. I wanted to cancel my reservation and just wing it but Frog Camp (a camp for incoming freshmen) was the best experience I could have ever had before starting college. I met people I am friends with to this day and I was so inspired that I ended up joining Frog Camp as a student facilitator the following three summers of my college years. Is TCU a perfect university? No. But did it deserve some of the comments listed below? No. It's a private university with a private school price tag, so unfortunately it's going to have a student population with many entitled individuals without a clue of what the real world is like. But do you go to college to join a Greek letter organization and make friends or do you go to college with the end goal of earning a degree? Anyone who wants to go to TCU needs to understand the culture of TCU, which is predominantly white and very dominantly ruled by Greek organizations, regardless of race. But TCU is so much more than Greek life. It's Riff Ram, the alma mater, the late night breakfast with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, Frog Camp, study abroad, dorm life, the Main (for anyone who attended TCU prior to 2008), homecoming, football games, and purple. If you have a good head on your shoulders, are looking for a great education, and don't get caught up in all the Greek drama, then TCU is the school for you. Go Frogs! read more

I started out here as a sophomore transfer student, and I was amazed at the attention to detail that TCU has with regards to the design of the campus. There are plenty of small classes and wonderful professors who you can actually talk to. That said, some of the classes are larger, but even then the professors are approachable. I can't really speak for the dorms as I've never lived on campus (I've always lived in the Fort Worth area). And for those who say that TCU is dominated by Greek life, it is, but there's plenty to do even if you're not in a fraternity or sorority. Try joining one of the many other student organizations that are on campus; there's always something to do! We also have many special events held on campus during the weekends, including visiting comedians and singers (some of whom are quite well-known), in the student union's event space or even on the Campus Commons. read more

Out daughter participates in the coral music camps offered here each year. It is a great program for kids who want to participate in the all-state choir competition, really providing them with some great instruction and coaching. The performance halls here at TCU are very interesting and provide a great venue to enjoy music. read more
