Hankering for Pho again, and found this right in the heart of the quaint pedestrian shopping center…read moreof Osnabruck. It's a casual one-room, open-kitchen fast-food Vietnamese bistro-cafe that does a bustling business. At the counter, you select a menu choice, illustrated in color photos above the counter, like "Number 11", the stir-fried noodles with beef and vegetables. Pay up and wait for the cook to prepare it fresh. She's busy churning out orders one after the other! The friendly staff will bring out your dishes to you either at the high bar, or at the few tables in the room.
A number of customers were ordering take out. This place was popular.
The food was quite hot and delicious! You will really enjoy any plate you chose. Excellent flavor and you taste the fresh preparation. Lots of different vegetables to complement the meat.
The broth in the Pho was not very subtle, it didn't have many delicate spices such as anise. It was just a bit salty beef broth. The toppings included sprouts, cilantro, fresh cut chilli, It did okay as broth, but wasn't really my favorite preparation of Pho. I think they could try a bit more delicate flavoring on the broth.
