As we live 40 minutes from Paducah I called the store to verify that they still had the piece put back for us. The girl who answered the phone could not have been more put out with dealing with me on the phone. She informed me that they do not put items back or on hold. She put me on hold and went to look for the item, but could not find it. So I asked her if she could check to see that they had the item in their inventory so that I could come pick it up. She told me they did, so I headed to Paducah. When I got there I asked if they could check on the item. It was amazing to me how little conversation they had with me and were not welcoming at all. It was a very cold transaction which is amazing to me as it is Christmas time and you would think that they would be happy to make a sale. Obviously they had the item and I was able to get out of there with it however a little more warmth would go along way with making for good customer satisfaction.

Although, I didn't find the shirt, one of the employee's, Beth, was absolutely helpful. Not only did she help me look for it, but looked on the store's computer. Some people, like Beth, have a knack for making you feel like you're the only one in the place. I'm a non-traditional patron of a store such as this, and due to my sales training in multiple fields, I was impressed with Beth's ability to communicate and actually serve the customer. She's a natural and has a mature work ethic as well as a professional demeanor. That's a difficult premium to find anywhere these days. Beth presented in an exceptionally well manner and possesses an uncommon grasp at making a sale. I left the store with a few new shirts and an appreciation for the service I received.

But my only downfall is that I once got scammed by them all because of a Nintendo World Championships NES Edition set for the Switch. When I bought that, there was no game that came with it. I had a very rude experience last night which was 3 February 2026. I had been looking forward to…read morehaving time to come to the store to have a moment of pleasure, but had been busy with work lately. I came to the store with plenty of time to shop before closing. However 20 minutes before scheduled closing time, they made an announcement that the store would be closing soon and to bring any items to the front for purchase. I checked the time to confirm they were still open for another 20 minutes and continued browsing. As I was getting closer to the front, but not in line to pay - the cashier tried to hurry me along by asking if I was ready yet. I told her I wasn't quite yet. Then the other woman working with her loudly said that it was about time for them to go home and that I was the only customer left in the store. There was still 15 minutes until scheduled closing time at this point but, I went ahead and just made my purchase. However, the cashier didn't stop there. I bought quite a few things and she put all of them in one tiny bag completely filled to the top so the handle ended up ripping while I was carrying it. This experience was very uncomfortable and uninviting. I do not appreciate how unprofessional and rude they were. They were on the clock being paid while behaving this way and I doubt the company would approve of treating customers this way - especially paying customers.
