My boiler stopped working briefly due to the pressure in the boiler dropping. I called out these…read morejokers who said they would be out the following day. During this time I spoke to a friend who advised me to turn up the pressure and talked me through it...and low and behold the boiler starting working again with no issues. The following day came and we decided what the heck we've got an appointment so why not get it serviced. A bloke called Paul came out spent about an hour poking around the boiler then came down the stairs and stated that he couldn't get it working and the valve was gone! For a new valve it would cost £180. This 'service' and new diagnosis cost the grand total of £60 and we were left without central heating . It would take a week to order in this new valve apparently. In the meantime we asked another plumber (friend of a friend) to look at the boiler for us who within minutes told us that the valve was working fine and some one had reset the pressure gages incorrectly. He fixed it and charged us £40 for the call out and to fix the problems - note: problems we didn't have until mr Moran and friends got involved. Mr Moran has been informed of this fiasco but has declined to reimburse us or take any accountability. I therefore have no choice but warn other possible customers to steer well clear. Had problem with boiler guy named Paul came out and was here for 2 hours during this time he spent…read morefirst 10 minutes sitting in his van on the drive then 40 minutes looking at boiler then 30 minutes back in van then 20 minutes back on boiler he then told me he had found some leaks and said I owed him £102 for his time then back to his van for 10 minutes returned saying repairs would be £520 told him would have to think about this and he left I wasn't happy so decided to get second opinion and guy came out next day ( didn't tell him someone had already been out ) he found leaks within a few minutes and shortly after advised me that a fault F76 was showing and that was a major repair was not cost effective to repair. This fault was clearly showing when Paul arrived yet he chose to ignore it and had I gone ahead with his suggested repairs I would wasted over £600 and still had the major fault. Complained to John Moran and he said he would get back to me he never did.

Called ddwilson up to come and quote for a new boiler darren came out the same day to give me a…read morequote Darren was very professional and made me feel at ease it was like I'd known him all my life After discussing what it was that I wanted darren talked me through the makes of different boilers After agreeing upon 2 out of the 4 boilers darren left and said my quote would be with me via email soon And how soon did my quote arrive within a hour of leaving my property the quote was in my email I called ddwilson and agreed with the boiler of my choice Two days later Darren had a team of engineers at the property to install the new boiler The ddwilson team where mess free polite and very very very good at the work they carry out After dealing with some of the big fish company's I would highly recommend 100% giving ddwilson a call for the highest and cleanest standard of work I have ever seen I cant Express how much I would highly reccomend these guys Support a small business they have my seal of approval and they should with ease gain yours Carry on doing the do ddwilson you guys are truley the best One very happy satisfied customer Yours sincerely prof brown

The company falsley claimed to be registered with professional bodies. Money was demanded for work that had not been done. Work undertaken was of very poor quality. The serious allegations against Mersey Builders was upheld. The company was fined. I think this is a completely unacceptable way for anyone to behave, especially the 'manager' of the company. If they feel this is an acceptable way in which to speak to people, I dread to think what they are like with customers. Avoid at all costs! 'Joanne, I have spoken with the engineer in question and I think you have made his week! I have not heard any one laugh that loud in a long time. He asked me if I realised that it was in fact Thursday today, and not Sunday, and that if I realised that if you are driving in the outside lane and holding other road users up and driving inconsiderately, the consequently other drivers will get upset and work around your bad driving habit. In future you should give serious thought, to the standard of your driving, not to inconvenience other road users as you don't know how to use the roads forcing other people to drive in a manner that they don't actually want to do. Our engineers drive hundreds of miles every day for business purposes. This is a clear situation of a casual driver who doesn't know what they are doing on the roads, which in my opinion is far more dangerous than anything listed below.
