I have been here on various occasions and it has always pleased and amazed. I booked a table for the Wellington on a Plate event of August as soon as the program was announced, in fact I was their first WOAP booking.
This place gets 5 for everything, all the aspects add up. I would place it in the bistro kind of category, as in, the kind of place you could wear a suit or smart jeans and a shirt and feel comfortable.
I am not going to talk extensively about the food as Glen Taylor changes the menu all the time. I will say, try and try and then try. His understanding of flavours is amazing and beyond my thinking. I will tell you that I had one of my best desserts ever and it involved candied olives, you may begin to understand what I mean.
Stop reading, get booking and then get eating. My blog has a full write up on a Wellington Foodies event. Not sure if I can put a link in here but the is one in my profile.
How are there not tons of reviews for Taylors? Come on people. read more
