I broke my Rayban sunglasses before leaving for Tulum and didn't get a chance to buy replacements. I figured I could make it a week without them, but day two and I was second guessing my choice there... I found a sunglasse hut store 10 minutes away from our hotel but they didn't have the classic Rayban style I like. So I decided to raw dog it and manage without any glasses. When I was pulling off, I noticed a shop called Taxxon and from the street, it looked worth stopping in to see what they had. Turns out, they are a Mexican sunglasses designer and their style is much different than what I typically go for. I choose based on fit, feel then finally look. I tried a few on and immediately like the fit. The sales person was super helpful explaining the brands value, and asked what I like normally. Then I saw a pair that looked super cool, it was black with clear around all the borders, he pointed me to the same pair in all black with only two small silver oval dots on the top corners of the frame and the Taxxon logo on either arms of them. I don't think I have ever owned or even liked frames that were any shape other than the standard ones, but these Squarish frames fit like a glove, were light weight and they fit my face shape perfectly. The tint is dark and great for the brightest days and still allows me to see my phone screen with my privacy protection on. The best part is that they only cost $269 usd. Came with a pretty cool box, cleaning cloth and travel case to keep them protected on the go. Compared to Sunglass Hut options of D&G, Gucci, and the likes, these were the best option!! I'm planning on going back to get another pair in a different color scheme just cause!! read more
