Justice grindth slow but exceedingly fine. The State of Nevada and the FTC are pressing charges against American Tax Services and their many aliases. To look at the documentation run a google search on "State of Nevada vs. American Tax Service". The court documents are public and you can read them online. Terrance Selb and Tyler Bennet and other assocIates are specifically named in the charges. The prosecution is attempting to recover the funds and return them to the victims of the scam. The assets have been seized and accounts frozen. If you have not been contacted by the Nevada Attorney General's office, you should contact them. They may be able to add you to the list of victims. He was incredibly responsive over email and detailed in outlining the benefits he provides to clients. I love that he has a secured file portal to keep all sensitive documents private and offers quarterly calls after tax filing is complete throughout the calendar year (this is included in the flat rate for filing). He not only helped me with my taxes, he also flagged that I needed past returns amended for minor corrections and laid out the options for me so I could make the most informed decision. He said that he could reconstruct the returns for a larger, additional fee - but that he recommended that I reach out to my previous tax preparer to amend the returns as that would be more practical and at a much lower (or potentially no cost). Most of the employees give rude looks and are not nice at all I don't feel welcome here. Also it's a downtown location off Olive st therefore you have to pay for parking in the lot next door that's filled with trash and rats! Most of the time the machines don't work and have skimmers so I wouldn't suggest using them. Anyways end note: find another H & R block this one will disappoint you with the rude employees and slow service!

They'll handle it while you wait around outside and have a few chairs spread out for those who want a seat. As a returning customer, it only took me about 30mins on a Friday afternoon to be in and out of there this year with my taxes filed. Parking isn't plentiful around this part of town, but there is a small shared lot underground. Make sure to grab your parking validation before you leave so you can park here for free.

There are two accounting business here, on the 2nd fl., and right next door to each other. Rober Chiu is the one on the left. Just an average size and average looking office, nothing special as far as the decor goes. We originally used Mr. Chiu, but after years of using him, he was busy one time, and we ended up using another accountant within his office. That's when we met his assistant, Miranda, she is just great. She speaks both english and chinese, she is very nice, friendly and attentive, she is extremely smart and helpful. She's always aware of new tax laws that are out. We haven't stopped using her since. Going on about 16 years now. Great service, free parking, what more can you ask for? We will be back next year, 5 stars from me.
