Inside there is a big choice of plants, gifts (especially at Christmas) and they have café which has seating in and outside. A few times we have been to the café and had a roast dinner which was lovely. At Christmas time the garden centre normally sells lots of decorations and has a Santa's grotto. The garden centre always looks really well looked after I'm not really into flowers but I still enjoy looking around there and my daughters do as well.

Whenever i have bought fish from here they have always had excellent health and is extremely rare to see any dead fish in the tanks. Service is good with staff always ready to give advice and order a product if they don't have it in stock.

I was also quite impressed by their range of plant pots, both for indoors and outdoors, which included more choice (in terms of colours, styles and materials) than many of their competitors. They're also good for trellis, patio furniture and garden tools. The location is truly spectacular, as it overlooks the beautiful St Bride's Bay, and the gardens they have created are stunning, with waterfalls, rustic bridges and ponds and a walk that takes you through 200 year old woodland. The entire setup is beautiful, and they've converted a group of stables into a craft centre, which some of the artists and craftsmen even use as their permanent studios. The craft buildings are all situated in an old cobbled courtyard, and it's great to have a wander around to pick up gifts and they have great access for wheelchair users. They even provide a service where they carry purchases to the car for customers who are unable to manage by themselves. The tea rooms are great, especially if you can get a seat on the balcony which overlooks the lake and gardens. On a sunny day there's nowhere better to be, especially with a cup of tea and one of their delicious cakes!

Well, considering they're usually the most popular sweet in the Haribo family, you can't knock the people behind Jelly Egg for naming their shop such. It's a strange name. It's quirky. But I like strange. I like quirky. And gawsh, do I like this shop. Narberth is stacked with boutiques that have art galleries on their top floor and gifts and homeware everywhere else. So you'd be forgiven for wondering if there's anything between them really. Is one really better than the other? Hmm. If it's at all possible, they're all as good as one another. So what's to lose? Nothing, apart from the contents of your wallet. And perhaps your credit rating. There's plenty here to feast your eyes on, from awesome unique pieces from local artists to quirky little signs for the walls of your house, antique clocks, sculptures, coasters, kitchen gadgets... it's got the lot. Laura who was behind the counter last week was really friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.
