I was visiting a friend in Gent and she said this was her go-to for visitors, and I could see why…read more It's basically a giant ex-pat bar. All the wall decor is travel-related (with photos of who I assume is the owner traipsing all around the world), and maps and license plates from all over.
There's a giant lounge-y area with couches, there's seating in the front, back, and upstairs (including and outdoor area). The place is HUGE.
We sat upstairs, which was cool because you could overlook the rest of the restaurant.
I was advised to get the beef stew, which is a Gent specialty. It was definitely comfort food and well made, though a bit weird to eat in the summer. It came with a bunch of croquettes on the side, perfect for dipping in the sauce.
Their menu also has all sorts of other random stuff like kangaroo and Asian fusion.
Good beer selection as well!
