We also wanted ideas for built-ins: maybe a window seat, maybe bookshelves -- we weren't quite sure. Other contractors over the years had taken one look at the porch and declined to get involved due to its age and condition. Not Jill. She had ideas right away. As part of this process, HQR sat down with us to go over our design ideas and created incredibly realistic 3D renderings of the kitchen. We were blown away when we saw the 3D renderings because it gave us the confidence that the kitchen would look just as great as we imagined it would be. The 3D renderings also helped us make some small design revisions to the plan, which we wouldn't have thought to do without the renderings (such as two pendant lights vs. three). All in all, I highly recommend getting these realistic renderings done ahead of time.

We had our windows fitted by Barbara. She was a nice person however she was adamant about the type…read moreof blinds we should buy for our windows. We knew what style and color we wanted. When the orders arrived, 2 of them were fitted incorrectly. The installer needed to re-order 2 blinds. The second attempt to install the blinds, the vertical blinds were still the incorrect size. A new order was placed. The vertical blinds were installed yet were still too short. We had to call to have a person look at the short vertical blinds. The installer told us it was about 4 inches too short and re-ordered them for us. We are attempt number three and the blinds are still too short. This is looking like an endless debacle to correct. You need to look elsewhere. Take your money to a more reliable and efficient company whose employees know how to measure correctly.

In September 2021 we ordered silhouette horizontal sheers for our six foot sliding doors. I asked…read morefor Hunter Douglas brand since that's what all our other blinds are. What we received was a cheaper version. We had much trouble raising and lowering them. They would catch and get stuck. We struggled with that for a year and finally called and made an appointment to have them looked at. The person that came out said that the installer didn't adjust the pulley tensioner correctly. He adjusted it and they worked better, but we're noisy and not smooth like the rest of our blinds. Finally eight months later while lowering them they fell down completely. I called 3 day Blinds and they gave me a phone number for us to call for an appointment. I was put on hold and got hung up on. This was on Thursday.I called back and was told the soonest appointment would be Monday. I Asked to speak to a supervisor. Again I was given a number to call (they couldn't transfer the call) so I called and got a recording. After following directions to get to a person, I was told flatly, "we're closed goodbye" and was disconnected. We paid a premium price of over $1500. For this and will have to start all over to try and get them put back up. Beware, very disappointed. Several years ago we had them install Hunter Douglas for us in other rooms and had no problems. It's very sad to see how they have gone down in quality and service.
