These are gorgeous ruins located on the far side of the island of Tautra. The ruins are easy to walk to if you are visiting Tautra Maria Kloster, the new monastery (http://www.tautra.org/). I highly recommend a visit to Tautra Abbey, Tautra Maria Kloster, and the on-site soap and beauty care boutique at the newer monastery. The walk between the ruins and monastery is short and beautiful, with views of the fjord and nature on either side. The ruins are stunning and very peaceful. A visit to all three is an amazing experience. All are free -except for money you may spend for the luxurious soaps sold at the boutique -handmade by the nuns to support the monastery. read more
