I was in Wiesbaden, Germany, to attend an event in a nearby town. The event's organizers had…read moredesignated Penta Hotel as their hotel partner with a discounted rate for one night. I can't remember that rate price right now, but it included a breakfast buffet and extended late checkout. I wasn't in a need for an extended late checkout and wasn't going to have breakfast, so I booked my two nights stay here through Expedia and got a good deal. This hotel is about 23 minutes of a drive away from Frankfurt International Airport. It can also be reached via public transportation, but that takes much longer. Located off the main highway and about 10 minutes drive from Wiesbaden city center, Penta Hotel is a nice place to stay. They have single or double bed options. The room amenities were good and adequate. The room I was in was small but perfect for a single occupant. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The room also had a nice big window. I thought I had taken photos of the inside of the hotel, but I don't have them to share. The front lobby of the hotel is at the hotel bar. There is no separate front desk. That's where your check-in. By the front lobby and the bar, there's an attached restaurant that serves freshly made food. There is also a hangout lounge and a gaming area with a pool table and a few arcade games. The hotel was clean, the service was friendly and good. I liked my stay at Penta and would stay again.

Stylish, cozy, and just what I needed after a night out…read more PentaHotel totally surprised me in the best way -- the aesthetic is modern but still super cozy, and the overall vibe is really laid-back. You can tell they put thought into the design without making it feel too polished or stiff. Every staff member we interacted with was kind and genuinely helpful. They made the whole experience smooth from check-in to check-out. The à la carte breakfast was another win -- tons of variety, but the pancakes stole the show for me (yes, finally a spot that has them!). And the beds? Soft, clean, and perfect for crashing after a long day (or a fun night). If you're after a stylish stay that still feels warm and welcoming, PentaHotel's got you. Would 100% stay again. What's your must-have when booking a hotel -- comfort, service, or vibe?

Since we are living in wiesbaden, I've already accepted the fact that there is no way we can get traditional Chinese food. Wannabe chinese food? Yep-- this place is decent and the price is definitely fair. They have all the major staple dishes that you'll see at a Chinese takeout place. The people who work there speak mandarin as they work, German to their customers, and some of them understand English. I was surprised with how clean everything was- the floors, ceilings, and the furniture look like they are new or in very good condition. It's not a hole in the wall place like you typically picture in Manhattan. I ordered the beef, chicken and veggie pan fried noodles because it's hard to mess that up. The portion was huge and could easily be split. My husband got some fried chicken with sweet and sour pineapple sauce. The fried chicken tasted good, but it was more of a Chicken Katsu rather than your traditional sweet and sour chicken pieces where each individual piece is deep fried in a thick batter. The sauce was more like a duck sauce with pineapple chunks in it. It didn't taste bad, but it just wasn't what we expected it to taste like... I still miss traditional shao long bao, oyster pancakes, and various dim sum dishes.... but one perk is that they have spring rolls here. Ohh and they have a green fanta drink here- it's exotic fruit flavor. It is definitely a mix between passion fruit and red bull. I kinda liked it. Ni Hao is probably better than any Panda Express back in the states, so I can see it being appealing for many people. So if i ever pass through again and I need to choose between the KFC, McDonald's, or Ni Hao. I would definitely be saying, "Ni Hao" to my peeps at Ni Hao!
