During those four years, we have been diving around the world, and we have seen many diving schools. Based on this accumulated experience and looking back, we can positively say that the experience at TDB was our worst diving experience overall. Contrary to many of the reviewes, we had no Groupon voucher and we paid the full amount for the course. But even if we had paid half price, we wouldnt have been satisfied. The teachers were rushing and in a harsh mood, expecting us to put our suits on and build the equipment quickly even though we had no familiarity with it. We even got a remark on how slow our group was. We were 12 people in the pool with four teachers, and at many points, we were confused about what to do and they always seemed to be in a rush and we felt the pressure constantly. My girlfriend got a cold and she asked to postpone her last pool dive for an incoming week, she even offered to pay extra for this. There were 6 weeks before we had to go to the lake for the final part of the course. However, they said no and only offered to do it in October, 2 months later (!), which was not possible for us. My girlfriend was forced to do what you never have to do: take medication to lower the synthoms of the cold and, in a very poor condition, do the course as it was planned. This was a very unpleasant experience for her. Finally the lake dives were ok, even though we had to carry our own equipment from the shop and back with our car and the visibility in the lake was bad (but i guess this is what you get in lakes around Berlin). We missed the fun and the motivation of the staff that we were expecting and the wish to keep diving after obtaining our license, but we didnt. The best from the course is that we got the license that allowed us to have great diving experiences around the world. Good things we could say is that we always felt safe and the equipment was in a good condition. Maybe the teachers had a bad time during the days we did the course, but the global experience was negative. We hope that they are up to a change to become better and that nobody has to suffer the experience we had as we did the course, because diving is one of the most beatiful activities you can discover in your lifetime.
