Well, the food didn't take too long to be cooked either but I think I'm grabbing at straws now. It's handy if the time is after 11pm and you fancy a curry (and you happen to be in the East Greenwich area) but that aside, I really wouldn't bother. The place looks a bit grim and the food certainly isn't great (not awful though), another positive? Probably not.

Consider yourself: I had a kleftiko, which is a delicious piece of a tender lamb on the bone, with roasted potatoes, some olives and feta cheese, a warm pitta bread, a huge bowl of salad with tomatoes and onions, all together it was a very substantial amount of food of a great quality - and all this was for just £9.99. Add to this a glass of house wine for just £3.50, and it's not just a great deal, it's a steal. Will go there for lunch next time, and will post some photos then.

By about 3.30, my husband decided we should go back to the car and see if we can find somewhere to have a cream tea. Well, we drove through Southend and didn't find anywhere that looked promising until we saw Rossi's on the other side of the road. We managed to park almost opposite and went in and joined the queue. Had we gone in the other door, we'd have seen the suspended signs showing that the queue was for ice-creams and there was another part of the counter for people ordering food and drink! They didn't have a cream tea on their menu but did have pancakes. We asked the server what type of pancakes (lemon, syrup etc) to be told rather brusquely They're just pancakes!. Well we weren't in the mood to go and find somewhere else so agreed to have a pancakes and a cup of tea each. The tea was made in lemon tea glasses seemed wrong as tea should be in china cups/mugs! When the pancakes arrived there was actually a huge slice of lemon and a bowl of golden syrup. This was a pleasant surprise but we were annoyed that the girl who'd taken our order didn't explain they came with syrup. It retains a bit of an old-fashioned feel to the cafeteria with signs behind the counter highlighting the different beverages available, including Horlicks! On the whole, the service was lacklustre. I know they were busy but that's no excuse for being sharp with the customers.
